Hopefully, nowhere near the team unless he's the lead reserve. But for him to be in that position the team has to be pretty weak. In the top 5, no thanks.
-
Don't disagree but the best possible reserves have been snapped up elsewhere. We are just left with the dregs unless we are going without Lambert and/or Iversen.

Something a little different to what has been put together by most 1. R.Lambert 8.90 2. F.Jakobsen 5.04 3. R.Lawson 6.55 4. E.Riss 6.08 5. N.K.Iversen 7.38 6. J.Etheridge 4.33 7. K.Andersen 4.00 Ave: 42.28

Peterborough Panthers 2019
Daniel Smith replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There's not a "Rye House" feel about the team at all. Rye House had Kasprzak, Harris, Nicholls, Kennett and Robson. Peterborough has a still on it Hans and Harris, that's it. So, you see, absolutely nothing like Rye House at all. This Peterborough team is the best in the league. Every rider etc Harris barring injury will increase their average no problem. I'm not sure that can be said with other teams. Saying all that, and Peterborough fans understand it, it's not how you start a season, it's all about how you finish it. If this team stays together they're top 4 no problem, but the Peterborough Showground always produces spectacular crashes. Also, Peterborough never finish a season with the rider's they start with, pretty much the same as every team so finishing positions can't really be judged until late July, but on paper right now, by far the best team against other teams already signed or predicted. -
This puts one rumour to bed, Iversen does indeed still live in the UK, just been on a 5 week holiday.

Your team is strong enough throughout for the support. If Kurtz can't score double points he'll be good for 6-7 as will Klindt and Grajczonek and Worrall most weeks. Covatti and Jakobsen are good for 10 between them. That alone adds up to 48 points a meeting. To get a win, nobody has to score double figures. Poole have the strength in depth to have meetings rapped up by the worrying heats 13 and 15. Even when Holder and Kurtz comes up against Doyle and Batchelor they will not be 5-1'd, even away. Batchelor is regularly a flop in the bigger races. Poole are solid, no concerns in not making the top 4.

Not having that, think Jack will take the No1 jacket in his stride. By the end of the season he'll have an extra point on his starting average no problem.

Peterborough Panthers 2019
Daniel Smith replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You know the averages given to Bjerre and Barker are pathetically wrong. They both have established averages from 2017 and should be on those, in the same way any other rider that doesn't double up. When rider's miss a season or 2 they maintain their average when they come back. This should be the same for doubling up rider's, especially as they've only missed the top league for 1 year. You know how lucky you are having those 2 in the side and you know it. Not having a pop at you or Peterborough who have assembled a cracking team, but you know that ruling is wrong. -

Starke did sign for both Belle Vue and Poole in 2018 so definitely Premiership average. -

Why? They both contain official premiership averages from 2017 -

I don't get how those averages have been allowed. Lasse Bjerre and Ben Barker should be on their 2017 Premiership averages as it's the highest official average they have. Lasse Bjerre 6.10 - Ben Barker 5.85 -
That's not in question, the issue is it's expected Iversen won't feature with his return to SGP and other commitments, plus he no longer lives in the UK. If the team as most are predicting 1. R.Lambert 8.90 2. M.Palm-Toft 5.36 3. T.Jorgensen 6.05 4. E.Riss 6.08 5. T.Proctor 6.67 6. L.Kerr 5.36 7. K.Andersen 4.00 Ave: 42.42 That team is just absolutely awful
-
Lambert's 8.90 so the team being built over a point under the limit would be ridiculous
-
The fact he participated in both leagues last season will allow it. He'll just have less meetings to complete for a rolling average at both Sheffield and King's Lynn.
-
Much prefer that team. I do like Greaves and will better his starting average and much prefer that Iversen is there as backup to Lambert. I do think Palm-Toft has been remembered more for his massive score at reserve rather than for his performances through the season in the top 5. That's where he'd be on his current average. I don't think he's good enough. Kasper can only be better than last year so worth the risk on a 4.00. Without Iversen or another as heatleader backup the team has no strength in depth as most of the team will only match or lower their current averages.
-
You think the predicted Stars team can win the title v already announced teams??
-
Nothing wrong with that, just wish my own club was a bit more ruthless rather than a love-in with the rider's.
-
7.68 average in the Polish 3rd tier is not a lot to shout about.
-
I know it's only on paper but I don't think there's anything in this team to class them as title contenders. Wolverhampton and Swindon look better and Peterborough's 4 look stronger than Belle Vue's top 4 imo.
-
Should imagine that your No1 will come from the 2nd tier in Poland. Can't imagine any Ekstraliga rider's agreeing to come over.
-
This is supposed to be as good as the current crop of GM's but PJR is going down the route of extended service life. Along the lines of the new Goddan and Gerhard. That's what I understand anyway. We'll just have to wait and see.
-
Cook has shown he doesn't have the capability to be a good International rider either. Unwanted in Sweden and Denmark and is also an absolute failure in the 2nd tier in Poland. Cook is a good rider in the UK and would do a good job for any Premiership / Championship club, that is his level. International standard Craig Cook has shown himself to NOT be.
-
Multiply and divide is far more simple as all averages are automatically rounded up/down. Championship > Premiership ÷1.5 Premiership > Championship ×1.5 7.53 ÷ 1.5 = 5.02 7.53 × 0.66666666 = 5.0199999498 Why bother faffing with the x/÷ 0.66666 nonsense???
-
Just relaying information. There are people with their ears much closer to the ground so am asking for confirmation? It's very important for the club if it is Lambert.
-
Can someone find out if an important rider has refused to sign a deal because they refuse to have the BT Sports logo on the handlebars over their own sponsor? Apparently the team selection is in disarray and the only important rider I can see is Robert Lambert. This would be seriously bad news
