  1. Simple solution to wage demands is to take that option away all together. Fixed rate pay per point regardless. Premiership £150pp Championship £60pp National League £30pp Also, I think bonus points should only be paid for heat advantages.
  2. My line of thinking is then it makes EVERY league meeting important. You can't just then build a team to win at home, make the Play-Offs etc, away meetings would then be just as important as winning at home. Getting thrashed 60-30 would be unacceptable rather than a "It doesn't matter" meeting.
  3. Would this work? Top 2 straight to the final. The points difference over the 2 home and away league meetings between the 2 sides is carried over to the Ultimate Final at a neutral venue. The cap for the points difference is 15 points. Would it add and would the 2 clubs supporters turn up.
  4. It will still be top 4. While it looks silly to have 4 qualify there is no rhyme or reason for the team that finishes top to miss out on a pay day. The only solution other than top 4 is to have top 2 in a straight shoot out or not have Play-Offs at all.
  5. Iversen I'm sure will return to the Panthers which will be about right if we keep Robert. In 2019, how would you love to see this team? These averages are adjusted for rider's that came through the NL with 2.5% removed from their 2018 averages. 1. J.Doyle 9.57 2. L.Kerr 5.48 3. E.Riss 6.08 4. J.Auty 4.60 5. R.Lambert 9.08 6. K.Andersen 4.00 7. S.Nielsen 3.58 Ave: 42.39
  6. I've worked a few Championship teams out and even with the low 38 average it's still full of doubling down/up rider's. I've a whole team of 7 doubling up with my made-up line-up and it includes Cook on his Championship 10.45 average. The only way to combat the problem is that rider's that rode Premiership and Championship has their Premiership averages converted immediately. If not, this doubling isn't going to end. The other issue then, more likely than not, some rider's will throw points away in the Premiership to lower their average substantially to compensate for the year on year conversion rate increase. While the new conversion rates look good and the lower team average in the Championship it's now opened itself up to a whole host of other problems, especially the rider's in the Premiership.
  7. And it could work if the rules are done correctly. For me, if a rider gets injured it's R/R and no guest. If 2 are injured then it's R/R and a guest from the Championship that has no team in the Premiership. That way there's no conflict of interest.
  8. I'd go with something like: 1. H.Andersen 7.56 2. Palm Toft 5.65 3. Lawson 6.81 4. R.Worrall 5.81 5. Iversen 7.36 6. Wilson-Dean 5.22 7. Grondal 4.00 Ave: 42.41 Strength in depth and far easier to find replacements for injury. If you have a big hitting No1 like Doyle, replacements become impossible and promoters then look to remove 3 or 4 rider's to make things fit. As a return to the top flight a solid throughout approach gives a far greater scope to improve over the season.
  9. No club should go anywhere near Sergeant. Costs teams so many points and cost clubs to much money on tapes
  10. I'd have Grondal as your No7 on 3.36. Make far more sense if you want to have one of your experienced and regular rider's.
  11. This is Premiership not Championship, Bacon or Lambert (as proved with King's Lynn) will not be good enough.
  12. Come on Panthers fans, you really need to be thinking better than that
  13. All Thursday tracks moved so Premiership can control that evening. Hopefully it can appease the Belle Vue fans a little one night before Friday. The whole of British Speedway needs this club to survive more than any other
  14. Think Simon Lambert will be unemployed in 2019. Not good enough for what will be a strengthened top league. Not sure what Championship clubs would go near him either.
  15. Might surprise a few but Keith Chapman gets a from me. See how it pans out in 2019 but it's an absolute must he makes changes to the AFA track for next year. King's Lynn deserves a better race track to watch actual racing rather than a gating competition.
  16. It doesn't matter if the track licence is 3 or 23 years, if standards ain't kept up to SCB/BSPA requirements they have a right to terminate the licence regardless. I'm amazed when that MotoX track was installed the Speedway wasn't shut down immediately on health and safety.
  17. Don't think you'll need to worry. With great sponsors maybe a deal has been done with the Tru7 Group. Ipswich sponsored by Tippers R Us Peterborough by Trucks R Us King's Lynn by Tru Plant
  18. I can assure you that Cheryl is a fully grown adult
  19. He makes a mint out of the Stadium use. He can afford it no problem.
  20. How I understand it, in the Premiership they'll probably have a minimum assessed average of say 4.00 or 5.00 but the lowest actual average will be 3.00 instead of last season's 2.00
  21. Great shame to see one of the better tracks in the top flight leave. Would just like to wish Somerset and all their fans all the best in the Championship in 2019
