  1. That I cannot dissagree with. Whatever happens, there will be a substantial amount of supporters disgruntled. The one thing that every fan up and down the UK can and does agree on, is the admission prices need to be lower, and by £5 lower at a minimum. All the fans are seeing year on year is a declining product for more money on the gate. Value for money no longer exists in British Speedway for the majority.
  2. People seem to be missing what I'm saying. I'm not asking for standardisation, the equipment they have already would be ok to continue with. What I'm saying is pay the rider's less and they're less likely to be servicing with PJR and equivalent. They'll stop buying expensive frames etc every year and run equipment 2-3 years instead etc. Pay the rider's substantially less, if a rider brings the best equipment possible and scores maximum after maximum they'll still lose money. Eventually they'll have to find better sponsors, get a 2nd job, ride a different country or quit all together. The wages HAVE TO BE SLASHED.
  3. The only way to bring equipment standards to a more acceptable level, and encouraging future rider's is to force a wage drop. If Chris Harris believes he can't earn enough on £100 a point he'll have to quite or buy cheaper equipment. It's that simple.

  5. The bellow from David Howe With his average at 5.91 and earning around £900 2 meetings a week that's very close to £80. £76.14pp in fact. So if Howe is earning near that (no disrespect intended to you David as hope you understand), what the hell are the likes of Cook, Harris, Schlein, King etc earning from the 2nd tier??? IMO if every rider had a maximum wage of £80pp, Championship clubs would save, and save a lot with the rider's mentioned wouldn't go anywhere near the Championship at £80pp as David says, the costs outway the income and for me, at Championship level, that's exactly the way it should be.
  6. Sad times for British Speedway when we're not only missing Woffinden but now Robert Lambert is deemed to good for our leagues now. Included Lambert, the door has to be open to everyone else.
  7. One thing that should be taken no notice of at this AGM is the opinion of rider's. Clubs need to look at reducing cost and encouraging larger spectator levels. Riders in British Speedway are the ones that need to look at themselves. Example, do I really need a PJR (or equivalent) engine to be racing in British Speedway? The answer is no. Do they really need super lightweight frames? No Do they need different coloured wheels rather than the standard? No etc etc So, the BSPA just need to look at 2 things, bringing costs down and more spectators. These 2 go hand in hand as more spectators = better profits or at worst, smaller, controllable loses. I still say that all the rider's in the leagues should be paid the same, whether a heatleader or a reserve. Premiership = £140 per point Championship = £80pp National League = £20pp
  8. If there's 1 big league there is a small problem that explodes into a large problem. Robert Lambert wants to continue in British Speedway so in 1 league do we ban him or allow him?!? The obvious is we allow him as it would be illegal in employment law, but in doing that we have to allow all other rider's as Robert finish 2nd in the averages with 9.31. I'd prefer to remain with 2 divisions but they are looking at 1 big league. Those wanting 1 big league don't realise the implications of doing so, legally.
  9. If it is "Championship level" then the initial team averages have to be set to 55.00. This allowing for the likes of Robert Lambert to have his average converted, from PL 9.31 to CL 12.10 at x1.3. Any rider that competed in both Premiership and Championship will have their Premiership average converted, multiplied by 1.3. This would make a rider like Rory Schlein 10.40 instead of his Championship average of 8.59 Will give the league a more level playing field and allow the likes of Chris Holder, Jason Doyle, Robert Lambert, Niels K Iversen etc to still be employed if they are willing and affordable to the club's paying the wages. Fix the race night's as Monday, Thursday and Friday. If clubs can't commit to these days then they can only compete at National League level.
  10. There's nothing wrong with the way contracts are done between club and rider. The issues are club to club in the asset system. That's the only thing that would be thrown out in a court case.
  11. Think people are totally missing the point of contracts. Once a deal is agreed the rider is then deemed a clubs asset for that length of contract. Unless specified in the contract a rider isn't free to do as they please. If the rider doesn't meet the standards set or required by the club then said club has a right to terminate that contract. If a rider wants to leave that contract any resignation has to be accepted. What I would like to see introduced into rider's contracts, which would be beneficial for and protect them, is a fixed average increase protection policy i.e. 0.5 average increase. So a rider starting a season on a 7.00 average which then increases to 7.50 cannot be replaced except for injury or misconduct. ________________________ Anyway, back to Swindon. With the closeness of the newly built housing estate and future extensions to this housing estate, has any sound barriers to be implemented???

  14. Well I ain't dead yet. 12 months ago reported neighbour growing weed in their loft and security camera filmed the people coming and going from the house. Anonymously reported 6 other homes based on rumour. If I get a sniff, then I have no shame in picking up the phone. Saving lives is way better than destroying lives. Proud of what I do.
  15. Those that sell I totally agree with. What I don't understand though, is family members usually know who the dealers are. Why these attempted murderers are never reported. First thing I'd do, and I do do it anyway is report any suspected drug dealers in my area. I don't fear the consequences.
  16. Every man and his dog knows heroin is addictive. To take that first shot is your choice. You make that choice to be an heroin addict. Nobody who takes that $#!+ deserves sympathy, especially ripping your own parent off for £40k plus. I don't consider my life as boring and I done drink, smoke, do drugs or gamble. Even with all the health issues I'm currently dealing with, unable to work for 2 years so far, I will not go down that route of taking up things that become addictive. I don't expect people to feel sorry for me so I have no time for someone who's an addict. All addicts are scumbags and have no thought for others.

  18. Just because he was a Speedway rider, why all this sympathy nonsense for this scumbag? He made the choice to go down that path and his poor parents now have to face retirement over £40k down from their hard earned. The other family members are the ones that deserve the sympathy and best wishes. Yes, hopefully Blair can come out the other side, but at the end of the day he'll still be a scumbag I have no time for, for making those choices in life. Addiction is a choice, everyone knows what will get you hooked. Drugs, gambling, smoking, drinking etc, they are choices, I have no sympathy for these people.

  20. The best meetings at Lynn in recent history have been when Buster leaves the track alone. Slick track and allow a build up of dirt on the outside. All to often he's grading the dirt back down to the inside. I still say though, a change in the shale for Speedway is an absolute must.
  21. First thing I'd do is try different material. The huge stones in the shale is fine for Stockcars as it protects the track but it's awful for Speedway. Remember this too, but imo Buster should have 2 different suppliers. One for Stockcars and one for Speedway
  22. Whether the track is grippy or slick it's exactly the same. No racing. The racing has been dire for a long time and without Robert Lambert's races from the back there's nothing worth watching. The poor racing has nothing to do with the rider's. Jorgensen, Riss, MPT and of course Robert Lambert are racers. It is the track which comes down to the delusional owner. For me, Buster is dragging the club down and needs to step aside full time. Put the Speedway up for rent and allow the King's Lynn Stars to get back to where it should be.
  23. Iversen will be 37 next season. The expectations of the invincible Iversen in British Speedway are over. Still class at times but duff meetings are to be expected. Iversen in 2019 will do well to maintain his current average of 7.36 imo.
  24. Has to be Harry Redknapp and his son Jamie. One is excellent at getting a deal done by any means and the other is excellent at cheating
