It seems original Championship averages are being used which is farcical to the new conversion rates.
-
I'm wondering whether they've included the Play-Offs even though they're not suppose too. I can't see any other reason for Robert Lambert to go from 9.31 to 9.13.

Peterborough Panthers 2019
Daniel Smith replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That's right, Buster is looking to shut Peterborough and Ipswich down so King's Lynn is the only club within 100's of miles, in the hope of boosting the Adrian Flux Arena attendances -
Not usually, tends to be the Bank Holiday bonanza from Saturday to Monday. I think it's just a case of workload having Speedway Friday and being ready for the bank holiday Stockcars the following day. But the return of the Good Friday Norfolk v Suffolk will surely change his mind ££££'s
-
Good Friday traditionally has always been King's Lynn v Ipswich home and away. Should imagine that it will be a return to that fixture.

With the new rules on converted averages in place it would be a nonsense for rider's in both leagues to continue with their existing Championship average. They should all be converted from Premiership immediately, otherwise with the numbers there are already doubling up the BSPA are not going to achieve anything in reducing the saga.
-
If it means the return of a real No1 in Doyle those "paltry" 2.5% average reduction means the team you can put together works out about half a point better off. Effectively getting Doyle on a 9. Or another way, rider's almost guaranteed to improve their averages. It's a winning formula that needs to be look at, not discarded. Morris, Ellis, Wajtknecht and Nielsen should all be considered. 1. Doyle 9.57 2. Wright 5.14 3. Musielak 6.65 4. Ellis 6.33 5. Morris 6.74 6. Wajtknecht 4.22 7. Nielsen 3.58 Ave: 42.23 Strength in depth all the way through that team with an exceptional No1

It's not a worry at all. Your whole 7 could already be done. With Buster as owner he likes the whole team to be announced at supporters meetings or after the new year. This helps with the build up to the new season. Absolutely no need to panic So what else do you need, surely not press releases daily? The AGM was only last week and you've already had news that you're moving up a division, Buster owns ya a$$ and Ged is looking at rider's. Keep calm ya mardy bunch -
Garrity is 5.45 - 2.5% = 5.31 after his short spell at King's Lynn.

It is nothing to do with the promoters but they are taking steps to FORCE the reduction in wages. Even with this theory of standardisation, this will still see rider's walk away because they can't have it their own way. Absolutely no way would the likes of Iversen, Doyle, Holder, R.Lambert etc be interested in single manufacturing, standardised equipment so we're going to lose these guys anyway. Sod the expense of standardisation and let it remain a free for all but reduce the rider wages. Instead of Peter Johns use Micheal Lee - cheaper
-
Again, absolute utter nonsense. Rider's are 100% totally responsible for their equipment upkeep. They are self employed. Promoters are totally not responsible. As pointed out, rider's do not NEED brand new year in year out. You see it every season, even Championship 2nd strings are selling all their equipment for new year on year. This is totally irresponsible and promoter / clubs need to make a stand against this nonsense. £150 per point in the Premiership should be the maximum paid to any rider. If rider's choose to spend big then they should find the money to fund this themselves by chasing more sponsorship etc. This shouldn't be the responsibility of qny club or promotion to fund.
-
Simon Lambert should be nowhere near the 2019 King's Lynn team
-
Nonsense, the costs to a rider's equipment is nothing to do with the promoters. The clubs should only pay what they can afford and look to turn a profit. If the rider's find they can't afford the same or better equipment, tough. They should work doubly hard to find more sponsorship or pay for the upkeep themselves. Equipment responsibility is nothing to do with the promoters at all.

There is only one way to get squad systems to work and that's by Premiership clubs having a Championship tie in. At the end of the 5 year plan when they hope to end doubling up, this is how it would work:- Belle Vue - Workington Ipswich - Glasgow King's Lynn - Scunthorpe Peterborough - Leicester Poole - Sheffield Swindon - Somerset Wolverhampton - Edinburgh As an example for Poole, if an injury happens to their No1, they'd use the highest averaged rider available from Sheffield, they'd slot in at No7 and everyone else in the team moves up a position. If there's 2 injuries, the 2 highest averaged Sheffield rider's go at No6 and No7 and everyone else in the Poole team moves up a position and so on and so on. The only time a guest can be used is if there are to many injuries to the Championship club. Then a guest can be sort from other clubs that are not tied into a Premiership club. For me, it's the only way of getting squad systems to work and also be viable to rider's too.

I think the point being made is that Chapman has taken on 2 clubs that has to pay stadium rent. Rye House went broke and Leicester crippled themselves financially and they don't have rent to pay. Chapman, financially could end up broke taking on these 2 clubs, which could be a catastrophe for King's Lynn. King's Lynn fans need to understand the significance of the huge risks that are on our club if it all goes heavily wrong at Peterborough and Ipswich. It is one very humongous gamble Chapman has taken.
-
Yes in principle, but if Ipswich ever turn over excellent profits Chapman will never hand it back, why should he. Louis will only get ownership again if Chapman's 5 year plan fails.

There you go Tree's, your 1st question that means far more to most. Why are all and sundry being blocked from social media, that being Twitter and Facebook? And for those that have been blocked on social media:- Once you get blocked from an account please remember to unfollow. Their statistics that the BSPA were shouting about include blocked members. Not a very accurate report, gives the wrong impression. -

What relevance is MTP being a Scunny rider?? He'll be at Peterborough or King's Lynn no doubt. All down to where he wants to be -
Which costs need reducing to achieve lower admission costs? For me it's just rider's wages the clubs can really look at. The cost to the rider's is irrelevant for lowering admission costs. Lower a rider's wage they have a choice to make, keep up the expense out of their own pocket or find a new supply chain / engine tuner at lower costs. No way should British Speedway clubs and rider's be lining the pockets of engine tuners.

100% it will be like this all day long. No doubt that even some of the supporters club members will ignore comments before they even attend the meetings. While good in principle, it will end up being a kiss a$$ process. -
And don't forget my nan, she's a excellent trapper and dead cert she won't be taken from behind.

Premiership Play-offs 2019
Daniel Smith replied to Chairboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I actually quite like that. I would have it as total points scored in the 3 meetings qualify for the final. Really do like that, the team that finishes top doesn't lose out on revenue and can still run the risk of not making the Grand Final. from me -
You're quite right but the Witches and Panthers have always been the understudies to the Stars so no need to change things now

Why? Not one person's opinion is of more value than another's. Just because the opinion may not be to your liking, doesn't make theirs wrong. Even the most stupid person can come up with an ingenious idea. If the BSPA wants to be open, every opinion should be shared, zero cherry picking.
