  1. Firstly and as you pointed out yourself, this isnt the first time Gollob has been pipped to the title. He isnt a newcomer and isnt young and inexperienced. That sort of thing you could bring yourself to accept from Emil and the younger newer guys but from a seasoned professional it cannot be excused. I did mention to my dad that one of the stewards could have maybe dragged the bike off track. But this is a fast sport and im guessing all eyes would have been on the racing for fallers. If someone had seen the bike by the time they had registered that Gollob was intending to leave it on track and walk away the red lights would have been on and nothing would have been averted. Your comment that "no one was hurt" does this mean that we should change all rules and laws to be the same? You are caught drink driving but you shouldnt be banned because no one was hurt? He messed up its time to face the consequences.
  2. No, the point i was trying to make was you cant compare Tai (who didnt qualify) to Zorro (who did) and say they will score roughly the same therefore Tai should be allowed in. Whether Zorro finishes last in every GP or not he has the right to be there trying as he qualified for the right. Tai should not be given a W/C simply because he may score about the same as Zorro over the series. I hope that explains what i meant with my comment.
  3. We will have to agree to disagree, Harris IMO is not GP quality.
  4. Sound like Zorro or not. Zorro deserves to be there by qualifying.
  5. He wasnt the only one there trying to qualify so why should he get special treatment ahead of anyone else that was there?
  6. I dont think we will see anymore Poles in the next Series tbh. Dont think we need to, Walasek seemed to be improving well over this Series and showed a few times that he can beat the best.
  7. If Ward was going to be in would be ahead of Tai. Hans has forgot more about speedway than Tai will ever know. No way is Tai a better racer than Hans.
  8. More utter nonesense. I go to the GPs firstly for the oocassion and secondly to see Hans Andersen. Not everyone at cardiff is there to see an English rider. Simple look at the different flags that are flying that will put paid to your fairy tale idea.
  9. Apologies for the English comment. Hans can be called a veteran of the GPs and one bad series doesnt mean he isnt worthy of being there.
  10. I have no personal grudge with Gollob just hate his attitude. The way he behaved in the SWC springs to mind
  11. No he isnt. He trails at the back on many tracks because he cant get the bike set up. He is ignorant and arrogant and to be honest i wouldnt care if he was never in another GP
  12. It would be worse for Speedways image if his actions are overlooked as "heat of the moment" than what it would to have a rider fined and banned.
  13. Emil and Scotty didnt endanger any other rider. They race was over and they were heading back to the pits. Ok maybe not a whole series but he should receive a hefty fine and a ban.
  14. Woffinden and Richardson doeserve places but HANS ANDERSEN doesnt. You English really are blinded by nationality (not all may i add)
  15. Harris in on merit? Where did he merit this inclusion? One good GP doesnt make a GP rider. Look at Harris at Cardiff, one good night and hasnt done much since.
  16. So Gollob was totally innocent and well within his right to put riders in unnecessary danger? Maybe its time you found a new sport. That is a disgraceful attitude. Gollob the big ugly Pole should be banned from the next GP series and made to hand back all prize money made from last nights GP. He is a utter disgrace to the sport.
  17. It hasnt been a complete failure of a season, he has made podiums and scored well. He was just missing that consistency. I have to totally agree that Hans would be a superb Wolrd Champion. There is nothing too cocky about him. He has the character and charisma and deserves a GP place ahead of many of names i have seen thrown about several threads.
  18. I really have no idea what happened to Hans season wether it was not starting the season in the UK or not i dont know. I doubt it has even his return didnt improve his scores consistantly. I dont think the organisers will overlook Hans for a W/C they know what he is capable of and know he is one of the best in the world. Just a bad year and i hope the winter break helps him sort what ever he feels went wrong.
  19. Good post. I would say just look at Holder. Had the oppertunity to rush in but had the maturity to realise he didnt have the equipment and didnt want to be making up the numbers therefore declined it and had another year on the league scene and in my opinion will take a few big scalps in the GPs next year.
  20. We could sit here all night long and reel off names of people who want to experience the GP but aint at that level. We shouldnt be wasting GP spots on riders that aint yet upto the task, regardless of nationality.
  21. I would totally agree it should be no one and maybe Tai is the best of the English lads just now. But definately not at GP level in my mind. The way Tatum and Pearson go on about him is all alittle OTT aswel IMO. Its going to be an egg on face moment if Tai is put in next year and if found to be left wanting. Please remember this is only my opinion on it.
  22. P1ss poor track and terrible bikes lost Hans a top 8 finish. Ah well new director new tracks new World Champion for 2010 Mr Hans Andersen
  23. Sorry but where is the proof that Tai can hold his own with the big guns on a regular basis infront of the biggest crowds in speedway?
  24. Lets hope with Tony Olson coming in we will get nice grippy tracks with various lines and watch these guys at their best. Then we can see Hans finally take his place at the top of the pile
  25. The first incident was a complete accident Nicki picked up and shot across the bend he had no idea he was going to take someone with him. I dont think he can be blamed for that incident. The second i can see why Nicki went for the move. Remembering how much this "blue groove" was mentioned and how there was little to no pace available off that groove. Nicki saw Gollob make a mistake and drift off it and HAD to take that oppertunity to pass. Gollob then corrected the mistake and got back on the groove where he found Nicki coming under him. As many of you know i am a Hans Andersen fan and therefore am no fan of Nickis'. However there is no excuse for what Gollob then went onto do. My take on it copied from the Chatzone.
