Polish Extraleague Signings 2022
Bagpuss replied to Najjer's topic in International World of Speedway
Are Torun's reserves any good, because that top five looks rather handy. -
No idea on the details but it seems they fell out years ago and still don't like each other.
-
So IF he wanted to come back and and IF he hasn't got a gig elsewhere and IF he and Lawson are prepared to put their differences aside Cook would fit. That's probably as good a side as we can hope for.
-
Iversen Crump Lawson Jorgensen Kerr Thomas/Thompson What would that leave?

Which season was it that Heeps had a bit of a breakthrough, 2017 or 2018? Can remember him guesting for Somerset at Lynn and looking really good, of course every season that passes where he falls below that best season the less likely it is that he'll get back there but you always feel that I'd he gets his head and body in the right place he could be a good rider because the ability is definitely there.

Looks great but won't be anything like that I imagine.

Leicester Lions 2022 Line up

Thought Kasper would be a shoe in too but Radio Norfolk are suggesting the remaining four riders will all be new faces.

Seems like Doyle is off to Ipswich (and Mountain to Sheffield ) so I'd not be surprised if we have a team of leftovers and start as sixth favourites unfortunately, just don't think the financial clout is there to compete for signatures.
-
Really disappointed if Mountain isn't at Lynn but instead Sheffield as suggested, he should have been Lynn's first name. Sheffield offering more bucks one assumes. No doubt Lynn will end up with the AN Other and therefore the sixth strongest
-
Back it up then, give us some reasoning and evidence. Otherwise it's just curmudgeonly moaning and groaning.
-
With more NDL teams next year and Lynn having a few assets riding elsewhere I wonder if the Young Stars might make a return for 2022?
-
How can you possibly say that without seeing the other teams? I'd say there is all sorts of room for improvement in that team.
-
Yep huge congratulations to all at Oxford for achieving something which must have seemed a million miles away not that long ago. Particularly pleased for @Matt Davis who will be able to take his kids there as he went as a lad, dream coming true stuff for him and his family
-
If you are trying to say he's unhappy at BV under an Aussie then cut out the usual snideness and just come out and say it! Personally I think its a mental thing, he has been a top rider in the Champs for years but seems like he'll be never make the breakthrough in our top league, same with Ritchie.
-
Nobody can confirm it's true although you wouldn't be surprised if it was. As has been stated Wolves don't want a six team league for a start, a lack of variety in opposition for the rest will hit them hard eventually.
-
I dont think the Premiership is 'far better', I never said I did. What I did say is that apart from the number of teams ie the lack of variety in the 'top' league there is very little difference because the riders are essentially the same, and both leagues have good tracks and crap ones. Both leagues are overpriced, that's why I very rarely go any more. I expect the Premiership is a bit more expensive as the riders get paid a bit more. Its been suggested on another thread that the Prem will remain at six clubs because they don't want to share the TV money with anyone else and that's very disappointing.
-
Not a bad thing, probably needs a fresh environment in the Prem to get himself going again. Was a big disappointment last season but works welcome him back in the future if he can regain his form.
-
It's really not though is it, better because more teams but the riders are virtually the same and I'd be surprised if the Champ final was as good as the Prem one which was superb. There are too many people like you unfortunately who like one league and slag off the others when we need them all to be strong for speedway speedway to thrive, and the top league really needs a couple more teams.
-
Yep I get and respect that but there also comes a point where you have to step out of your comfort zone and push yourself to see how good you can be.
