Potential Flight Problems
Bagpuss replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's based on demand by the look of it, no doubt other airlines might follow if their ticket sales drop off too, time will tell. -
Anyone got a link?

Lebedevs and a committed Tungate would be some top five.

French league 2023 fixtures, teams , news
Bagpuss replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
First / early meetings often throw up surprise results and scores, makes you wonder what kit he was using, if it was misbehaving and how hard he was chucking the bike into the bends or if he was easing himself back in. Especially on a circuit new to him. I don't tend to read too much into such early scores. -
That was nearly ten years ago! He was very young and raw then and couldn't handle all the grip at Lynn (not the first).
-
If Lebedevs is fully committed he'd be dynamite at the NSS and decent at the three other big tracks, might struggle with Monmore and the Foxhole but a good and exciting third heatleader nevertheless.

It the Poole thread to be fair......
-
Indeed, everyone blowing their tops seem to have missed it. IF its true then absolutely right that it was blocked!
-
It's personal choice though......if people don't want contribute then don't. Same as when Bomber did GoFundMe the other year and people whinged. For those that do then it's all good.
-
Don't think you'd want it to be any more than twelve quid though.

Was going to say something similar, there isn't time between shots for tennis commentators to say what they are trying to say on the wireless and it ends up sounding a complete mess.

RoundThe Boards: Speedway Podcast
Bagpuss replied to RoundTheBoardsPodcast's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Listened to the Championship Preview one today and really enjoyed it, I assume these are the first podcasts you guys have done? If so they come across really well as debut podcasts. A bit of polish here and there and perhaps a little more research needed in places (ie Waggy to Oxford in the early noughties) but a really good listen. -
2022 PREMIERSHIP Predict the finishing order
Bagpuss replied to BartoszZmarzlikFan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As a Lynn fan I hope you are right but I expect Palin to kick on in both leagues this year and having years experience on the Prem tracks should stand him in good stead. Alo did Palin spend a bit of time in Scunny's top five while Jack was at reserve all season for Brum? Could be wrong. -
I'm all for enthusiasm and generally don't mind Pearson myself but I understand why people don't like him, he is at times too shouty and loud. There are others out there I prefer to listen to and would be quite happy to see replace NP if the need ever arose. There was a guy in the 90s and 00s who did the videos from Coventry and Peterborough, he was a very fast commentator, almost horse racing style, I really liked him. Always made races sound exciting even if they weren't As for Tatum though, I would never get rid of him. His knowledge and experience as a former rider makes him very good at what he does IMO.

2022 PREMIERSHIP Predict the finishing order

You think Palin is weaker than Thomas? As a general point IF Belle Vue finish with Bewley & Thompson then they are the main challengers to Sheffield. -
Will people be able to afford to go
Bagpuss replied to bri1966's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Poor VFM for me. Also its a massive rush around to get to Lynn for me after work in the summer months. I used to be a week in week out fan but only go very occasionally now and enjoy it far more. And I never, ever take the risk now if the weather forecast is dodgy as riders are very rarely interested once there's a spot of rain. -
And Instagram & Twitter!

I'm sure Fanseat is excellent value for those who want to watch Swedish, Danish and French speedway. Not for me Jeff.
-
Ten seems a familiar number to me for U21 seeds without looking back at updates. Personally I would always prefer seeds to ensure the quality of the final is better, having the bigger names missing out isn't good IMO.
-
My guess would be that they are waiting for a particular rider who is signed up in Poland and Sweden to come available.

You got a link please?

Rather underwhelming on the face of it but this could be the move he needs to get back to something like the form he showed pre pandemic. If it's the Lynn/Leicester form of last year he won't be there long though. Hopefully for him and Berwick it works out.

Tell us all about these rules that are being changed.

I definitely can't remember that one! Lynn's first season in Division 2 which probably explains it.
