  1. Especially with a long tail, if Swindon were more solid with a stronger reserve then perhaps the pressure on Rowe would be less but he will need to chip in and pull his weight. Rather than those you have named one hopes it’s the making of him and he can thrive in his role.
  2. To be fair to him I thought riding at number two for Somerset might be too soon for him last season but he took it on his stride. Different matter of course in the Premiership but I wouldn’t bet against him holding his own, seems like a quick developer.
  3. Good luck to the lad, great to see young British talent taking the plunge in the top league. Hope it works out for him.
  4. Huckenbeck and Bellego would both be good signings on their averages with Lynn as a home track and only Wolves and to a lesser extent the Foxhole as tight tracks in the league. Swindon is medium nowadays which is fine but the others are all big and fast which would suit those riders down to the ground. Looks like Bellego finished on 5.60 and I seem to remember Kai finishing 2017 on 4 something. Add those to Lambert, Cook and Riss and without the exact figures to hand I reckon we’d have just over four for a second reserve (Pickering / THJ?) Lambert Kerr Riss Bellego Cook Huckenbeck Pickering / THJ
  5. Not necessarily, they might be saving the bigger names til the final announcements. I’d be staggered if last years top three don’t return.
  6. I’m sure I remember a poster called webbo on the Lynn forum telling everyone what a huge mistake it was to drop Allott and bring in Doolan as we wouldn't win enough home meetings to win any trophies. Wonder what happened to him?
  7. I’m going to ask you again in eleven months time
  8. Who are you to say who can discuss what? While Sidney is on this forum there will always be a discussion to be had about Auty
  9. I don’t think the grippy track agreed with his dodgy shoulder at that time.
  10. Nine finishes in the first two places out of 34 heats away from home is pretty damning.
  11. My worry about Jorgensen is that he scores well and is pretty exciting to watch at Lynn but his away form was dreadful, can see the club keeping him due to his value rounds Lynn.
  12. Because Lynn don’t want him / can’t afford him / can’t fit him in?
  13. On that average somebody will take the risk and he will probably improve on it quite a bit, it was only the season before last that he averaged 6 something and was a major part of Lynn finishing clear top of the table. I just think we need some freshness in the 2020 team which means two or three changes.
  14. Surely even you aren’t so obtuse that you can’t see Lewis’ signing will be popular with plenty of people? I wouldn’t have in in my 2020 line up personally but I can understand why he has been signed. Lewis is very decent but had a very poor year away from Lynn last year despite spending much of the season at reserve. The main focus for next season has to be sorting the away form and to that end riders like Lewis, Jorgensen and Proctor needed moving on IMO so hopefully there will still be two or three fresh, new faces. If the six who finished last season plus Proctor are the team then I don’t think those problems will have been addressed at all.
  15. Your opinion is as valid as anybody else’s. You are quite right, Glasgow are miles in front of anybody else in terms of social media but I think Lynn have been pretty good so far this winter. The announcement of Lewis has underwhelmed many due to his poor 2019 but there are lots of people who will be pleased to see him back. 5.43 is an awkward figure as he needs to be at reserve, if the top three that most people think are signed you wonder how the rest of the team will shape up.
  16. I assume your issue I with the rider? As I wouldn’t like to think it’s the ‘hype’ ie lots of social media with the club having previously been criticised for a lack of information/interaction
  17. Puzzling why he was so poor away as he is pretty good everywhere in the second division. As has been said needs to up his game from last season. Things already have a ‘same old’ look about them. Jorgensen absolutely must not be signed now or we are likely to be cannon fodder away from home again. On the positive side he is a local lad who started out at Lynn who can gate and it’s always nice to have one of those in your team.
  18. Not really sure what you are running on about Sidney so we’ll leave that one there.
  19. I think most people thought after the start he made for Glasgow that he would be a decent signing for Swindon who would improve a bit and bolster their bottom end. He went way, way beyond that.
  20. Really? You think it was obvious that he was going to improve to the magnitude that he did? Best do the lottery on Saturday if so.
  21. Not entirely sure why what I said was funny foreverblue, you’ll have to explain.
  22. One decent match that I can remember sid. As has been said his away form in the second division is modest at best, I think that’s what puts Premiership clubs off, along with his complete lack of gating ability.
  23. Maybe they didn’t get lucky with Perks and Jensen. Perhaps they do their homework and are able to provide an environment where riders improve and flourish.
