Unless there is evidence of a sacking then all this bluster amounts to unfounded allegations.

Who said anything about signing somebody? The transfer deadline has been and gone, it’d be guests.

From kingslynnstars.co KING’S LYNN need to overturn a six-point deficit when they host Swindon in their Knockout Cup Semi-Final decider at the Adrian Flux Arena on Monday (7.30). The Tru Plant Stars lost the first leg 48-42 in Wiltshire last Monday, but a battling performance means they are still in the tie. In-form reserve Michael Palm Toft is confident they can progress through to the final, as well as building up some momentum ahead of next week’s play-offs. “Six-points is nothing really and the way we’ve been riding at King’s Lynn lately, it really is our fortress,” Palm Toft said. “So we’re feeling good that we can win this meeting overall but we know there’s still work to do to make sure we get the job done. “We all know what we’re capable of at Lynn and we’d love to get through to the final. “I think it’s important we put in another big performance, not only just to make sure we win overall but to keep our confidence going ahead of the play-offs.” The Tru Plant Stars are offering supporters a unique experience during Monday’s Semi-Final. For just £5 extra on top of their admission fee, supporters will have the opportunity to watch three races from the infield. Tickets will be available at the programme sales stand inside the turnstiles and will be limited to 30 persons per session. Subject to availability, supporters will be able to select from the following sessions: heats 3-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15. The popular reaction bike will also be available while there will again be free face painting for kids. Supporters will also be able to book coach travel to next week’s Play-Off Semi-Final first leg at Belle Vue and can also vote for their Rider of the Season. Tickets for the End of Season Party at the Adrian Flux Arena on October 19 will also be on sale and there will be a Q+A session with riders and management after the meeting. KING’S LYNN: Robert Lambert, Erik Riss, Ty Proctor, Thomas Jorgensen, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Michael Palm Toft, Simon Lambert. SWINDON: Troy Batchelor, David Bellego, Adam Ellis, Tobiasz Musielak, Nick Morris, Zach Wajtknecht, Jack Smith.

You are correct but it was under the previous regime to be fair.

What's the best race you ve seen live

Any one of several from-the-back efforts by Henka Gustafsson at Lynn in 1993. -
Thing is despite the bleating from the south coast nobody knows anything, it’s all supposition and conjecture. People probably would be up in arms if it was Poole in Belle Vue’s position because for them it would be yet another stunt pulled whereas it isn’t really the Aces’ MO. And as others have said it doesn’t really appear to present Belle Vue with any huge advantage.

Lakeside ripping off Newcastle fans.
Bagpuss replied to leander's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Common sense would surely be to let Newcastle fans use their tickets and pay the difference. -
This has been discussed many times, Mr Ford has been excellent for Poole but along with a weak governing body and rule book his time in speedway has been pretty disastrous for the sport in the UK as a whole and the rule bending has contributed to crowds falling along with other factors. He would not be missed by many people.

Somerset v Belle Vue KO Cup Semi Final 1st Leg 12.9.18
Bagpuss replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As Bagpuss might say Etheridge’s away average was still under two however our friend wants to dress it up and I would suggest Riss has improved on that even if not by much. I think people might have expected him to score a few more at home than he has done though. -
That sounds very similar to the 1997 Elite League version?
-
Depends which version of the six man format it is, the 1997 one was ok but then they came up with a version in 1998 with nominated heats throughout the programme which favoured top heavy teams and was garbage. Also worth pointing out that whoever comes up with whatever idea it’s still got to be voted through by the promoters collectively.

Somerset v Belle Vue KO Cup Semi Final 1st Leg 12.9.18
Bagpuss replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Somerset’s last four home results show what a tough nut they are going to be to crack in the Play Offs. -
I don’t believe they were mistakes, they are too blatant for that. It’s almost as if it was agreed that if the scores were close enough then everyone would get at least five rides almost as a warm up / test session ready for the Play Offs. Simon obviously only had three which wouldn’t necessarily tally with that but I can’t think of any other reason why Riss and Jorgensen (and even Robert in heat 15) got their fifth rides.

Doesn’t matter how young somebody is, the human body can only do so much racing, travelling, training and only miss so much sleep before performance is compromised. We’ve seen it many times over the years in many sports not just speedway which is why many sportspeople’s schedules have been carefully managed.

I can see your point but it’s a two legged tie so IF we go through then others have stepped up and covered his off night, job done. Also worth pointing out that he scored 14 last time at Swindon and we didn’t score 40. It’s not about individuals for me, it’s a team effort and a little disrespectful to the others to put too much emphasis on Robert’s scores.
