  1. Just looked, yep that's him. Very good signing on that evidence and of course last night.
  2. Wouldn't be surprised if that top three is how the Championship ends up, just think Drabik will have too much for Robert across the three rounds.
  3. Did he ride in the anniversary meeting at Belle Vue in March? Looked decent if that's him.
  4. Because Thursdays were included in the original agreement before it was changed to Wednesdays
  5. R/R scored 5......Poole wouldn't have gone through even if Vissing had ridden.
  6. With MPT due to miss his last Wednesday night fixture due to riding in Denmark next week its quite handy that he and Proctor are swapping.
  7. Womble was talking about MPT in heat 14 in that quote!
  8. A good two points, a little disappointing to be four up after heat 13 and not win but Somerset are pretty formidable at home so it's probably a bit picky to criticise too much. Great to see Niels back to his best.
  9. Not time to bury it at all, just to get all four rounds on decent circuits. The next one in Germany should be very good, would be great to see one at Belle Vue.
  10. I'm sure everyone in speedway has issues with Stoke I'd they have any sense, their promotion have been a shambles for years and the track problems have come to a very dangerous head now. They should have their licence revoked until such a time that the BSPA / SCB are satisfied that the place is safe enough for racing. I'm sure your views on modern bikes hold water but in this particular case they are of very little consequence otherwise Stoke wouldn't be the only track with their problems.
  11. From kingslynnstars.co KING’S Lynn are on the lookout for more away points when they visit Somerset in the Premiership on Monday. The Tru Plant Stars welcome back Ty Proctor and Michael Palm Toft for the trip to the Oaktree Arena, although Kasper Andersen remains on the sidelines.Proctor returned from injury for his Championship club Workington on Saturday and notched double figures in the Comets’ win over Glasgow, whilst Palm Toft racked up 17 points for Peterborough at Redcar on Thursday – frustratingly for the Stars, at the same time as they were missing out at Swindon - and the Dane could be a trump card at reserve.Somerset boast an unbeaten home record, with six wins out of six in all competitions, but their season has not been without its problems and controversy. The Rebels pulled off a big signing in the winter by attracting World Champion Jason Doyle back to the club, but made headlines earlier this month for two surprise departures. They parted company with crowd favourite Charles Wright after behind-the-scenes disagreements, and also released Danish youngster Jonas Jeppesen, with Claus Vissing and Nico Covatti coming in.Vissing failed to score when the Rebels beat Poole 48-42 last Wednesday, a result which means they currently sit third in the table with their home form backed up by their 46-44 victory at the Adrian Flux Arena last month.Vissing and Proctor also clashed on and off-track at Derwent Park on Saturday and are scheduled for an early return battle on Monday as they are due to meet in Heat 3.Meanwhile Andersen, who is still unable to race in the UK having been deemed to have suffered concussion last week, is replaced by Rye House’s Max Clegg at reserve.Stars boss Dale Allitt said: “We won there twice last season and we also won the Pairs there, and most importantly we’ve got six of our seven riders.“I think we’ve shown that when we’ve got a full team, we don’t really need to be worried about anybody.“Regarding a guest for Kasper, it’s a hard ask when there are six Premiership teams racing and you can only go up to 5.20 in the Championship, plus Somerset’s reserves are quite strong.“I keep saying it will be really nice to get our full team back, and that should be the case after July 4 injuries permitting – and it’s still a long season after that.”SOMERSET: Jason Doyle, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Claus Vissing, Richard Lawson, Jack Holder, Jake Allen, Nico Covatti.KING’S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Lewis Kerr, Ty Proctor, Thomas Jorgensen, Robert Lambert, Max Clegg, Michael Palm Toft.
  12. Although I'm a positive, glass half full chap it's difficult to disagree with almost all of the negative viewpoints this forum throws up from fellow Stars supporters.....I'd really like to see some kind of dialogue between somebody at the club and those people who are losing or have lost faith in the way it is run. All posting on here does it let off steam, it doesn't really deliver the message to where it needs to go and I don't think social media is enough either. Some kind of action group which physically meets up with the promotion would help the situation we appear to have now, I wonder if this is something that the supporters club could arrange? I don't think everybody is ever going to agree but an honesty session without some of the nastiness that forums and social media can manifest can only do good.
  13. Frustrating that MPT was elsewhere scoring a hatful but even allowing for that we'd have got a point had Lewi Kerr scored the half a dozen or so points you'd expect from him.
  14. I take that to mean that Wright and May are never going to see eye to eye but if he had been man enough to apologise despite that he would have kept his job.
  15. From speedwaygb.co DYNAMIC Dan Bewley will lead Great Britain’s Young Lions squad in the World Under-21 Team Cup semi-final at Glasgow on July 14.The cool Cumbrian kid heads a side busting with talent alongside Ellis Perks, Zach Wajtknecht, Nathan Greaves and Connor Mountain.GB take on Australia, Germany and the Czech Republic at Ashfield and will hope to build on a season of success for their buzzing country.Great Britain’s sensational Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations success with silver has really lifted the national scene.Since then Robert Lambert and Bewley have finished one and two in the British Championship and both qualified for the World Under-21 finals.Greaves and Mountain both finished on the podium at the British Under-21 title at Berwick while Wajtknecht has been impressive at Swindon and Lakeside. Great Britain Young Lions boss Neil Vatcher said: “Sometimes in life teams or individuals become victims of their own success, and on this occasion I feel the GB Team has been dealt a massive blow by not being able to select the British Champion Robert Lambert.“His inclusion in the Finals of the SEC Series clashes with both dates of the Semi-Final at Glasgow and also if we were to qualify for the Final on August 18.“Having said that, no one can stop progress and everyone involved with the Young Lions wishes Robert all the best in the series, plus also congratulate him on performances across the UK and Europe - he deserves to be included in the Finals.“After having that confirmed that Robert was unavailable, we now have to move on and be positive about our team and believe that we still have the quality to qualify for our second consecutive final.“The position that gave me the biggest heartache was to select a reserve and in fairness I had three in contention.“Connor Mountain, Jack Smith and Jack Thomas probably all deserve a place in the squad, but with only one place available, Mountain has got the spot.“I looked at everyone's form across the leagues and also their performances at both the British Under-21 Semi-Finals and Final. I have got to say it has caused me many a sleepiness nights. But having been impressed with Connor all season he gets the shout on this occasion.“I know both Jacks will be disappointed, but as we all know with still a month to go before the Semi-Final anything can happen in speedway and if called upon I know both Smith and Thomas would be ready.”Wolverhampton youngster Greaves speaking on his own inclusion said: “It’s obviously great to be called-up for your country, it’s awesome.“I’ve just had my best score for my club Wolves on the day I got the news I’d been picked, so I’m buzzing.“Great Britain have had a good year so far so it would be good to keep that going at Glasgow. I like Ashfield so I can’t wait to get there.“I want to keep progressing and that has been happening. This is another big step for me.”The GB Team would like to thank their Team Sponsors Complete Filtration Solutions, SFS Electrical and Wessex Marine for their support.
  16. Hardly 'karma' when he's lost his job through being a berk and then not being a big enough man to apologise. Pretty sure that Vissing & Covatti will prove their worth going forward, and while it's a shame to see a British rider lose his spot it seems he brought it on himself.
  17. The main reason I can think of is Iversen and Lambert not wanting to fly back to Britain on a Monday in between a Sunday Polish match and a Tuesday in Sweden more often than they need to. One would imagine they agreed terms based on Thursday nights originally.
  18. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv is your man to ask.
  19. If Auty rode at number one for Scunny it would be a fair comparison but he doesn't.
  20. Poole continue to underachieve as a septet. Pretty baffling as on paper they looked outstanding pre season. Bet Holder enjoyed that tonight.
  21. I think the scores that MPT has knocked in so far this season and what he contributed last season show exactly why they signed him.....yes he is going to miss a few meetings but his scores when he can ride and those of guests when he can't were obviously deemed the better option than alternatives on similar averages. Can't imagine too many riders who average under six being able to card paid seventeen too often. As for Allitt's comments my interpretation is that Lynn had their team sorted long before the AGM and then found that the goalposts moved at the AGM. Again I'd suggest that having your choice of riders 75% of the time was deemed to be better than having a second choice and inferior one to to seven 100% of the time. Certainly far from ideal but not thick and probably the considered choice.
