Kings Lynn vs Rye House June 18th
Bagpuss replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes, although hard to say how many it will take off the gate. Not hundreds I would suggest. -
Nail on head. I certainly wouldn't argue against reserves all being Brits. Josh Auty's top league average is 4.68 so it's not too high. Howarth started the season on 6.64 so the two can't be compared as first division riders. I just don't think promoters feel that Auty can be relied upon to be consistent.

Kings Lynn Vs Somerset: Wed : 30-05-2018

It's not inconceivable that the 'half term offer' worked.....just because it doesn't work out any cheaper that doesn't mean that presenting the information in a different way hasn't encouraged a few more people to go. Might just have been a clever bit of marketing. Only on a Lynn thread could there be bleating and whining around a bigger than usual attendance -
Lakeside Hammers v Workington Comets - Friday 1st June

Easy to forget how young and inexperienced he is, riders who have been round the block many more times than him find Arena difficult. If he does turn out to ne just a 'throttle jockey' then great, that' what he will need to be to succeed in Poland, Sweden and the GP's. Given the choice its far better to be good on the big tracks than the small ones. -

If it's a choice between Kasper, Josh or Wilko I'd rather we stick with Andersen and try to develop him and help him improve. As with most riders who are struggling he just isn't gating well enough, if somebody can do some work with him to improve that he'll be far more competitive. There may come a time this year where he need to be stood down but it' far too early for that now IMO. -

I think it's too early to be throwing riders out, especially younger ones who have been brought in for the future. Out of interest who could come in on a similar average and be a marked improvement? -

You got your wish Masters was very poor, and like us at Belle Vue last week Somerset were in the right place at the right time to cash in. That said we had the meeting sewn up for a couple of laps of heat fourteen before Lewi's uncharacteristic fall but that's speedway. Thought the racing was good, one or two strung out heats but plenty of good tussles and close finishes. -

I read the 'poor thing' comment as totally sincere personally. -

Another competitive away performance. Have to be disappointed not to pick up a point but with Iversen missing and no guest 41 points isn't a bad effort. Need to get TJ going. -

We may not be the most talented side but you can't accuse this Lynn team of lacking heart or bottle. -

I could be wrong but I believe some new, different shale was first used on ' that night' v Poole and ever since that meeting the racing has been better on the new stuff. -

I always try and post without Stars specs on and I can honestly say if this were Brady Kurtz having to have a fortnight off I wouldn't want Poole to go without a facility. The two weeks need to begin and end somewhere, it was inevitable that it would start directly after a GP and/Poland as they will always be riders priorities. He is missing Swedish matches and the whole of SoN not just the UK and we are hardly strengthened by his absence. I don't believe there is any mickey taking going on and nor would it do anyone any good to have three points riding at number one for anybody. -

Whoever is or isn't riding for a live tv match, charging full admission is obtuse thinking IMO. There has to be some kind of offer to encourage people to go rather than sit at home and watch it. -

Indeed, thunderstorms forecast for most of the day but they said the same of Friday and nothing happened. Would expect the forecast to change a couple of times before Wednesday evening anyway! -

Great idea, I'm sure a three pointer at number one will have the punters flocking through the turnstyles. -

He's taking a fortnight out to get his shoulder sorted and missing a Swedish fixture and the SON as well as the UK in that time, don't see the issue personally. At least he's not picking and choosing from week to week like Pedersen.. -

Bagpuss replied to ellioth4's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Indeed but petty jibes when they don't win are unnecessary. It's good that a promotion are willing and able to invest in a club to improve it and its stadium for the paying customer. Harris, Starke and Sarjeant have been very disappointing and should be doing better. -

Shame about the money digs but utterly predictable unfortunately. Well done Edinburgh. Glasgow have some serious underachievment in their ranks and seem unable to her everyone going on the same day. -
Magic turned back into Emil for me, pretty clear cut. Thought Freddie was ruthless but not dirty for me, Tai was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Haven't seen any evidence at all of moaning and groaning from him, Pearson was gobbling off about Woffinden not being happy and waiting for Freddie etc but he seems to have taken it on the chin. Other than that it was a poor, poor GP.
