  1. I would put money on all the original Danes (and Lambert's Danish contract) being signed when the FRN was still going to be Thursday.
  2. There was a meeting in the late nineties against Ipswich which didn't finish until nearly midnight IIRC!
  3. My point is quite simple, some are saying Buster should have called it off when only the ref has that power.
  4. Was going to say surely the referee is the only one who can abandon a meeting?
  5. Best wishes to Lewis and Kasper. One of those nights that speedway throws up occasionally, can understand the frustration of people who were there but don't really see what else could have been done. Star Lady sums it up best I would say, nobody thought it would all take so long.
  6. He's the latest in a long line of chairmen who have failed, don't think it matters who is in charge when so many others contribute to the pool of ideas and get to vote on them.
  7. With NKI back to something like his best and Proctor at reserve this ought to be a comfy home win, would be nice if Kasper could get amongst the points too.
  8. No self righteous step here (the irony ) just providing a bit of balance to the thread. The club have released a press release naming him in the team, until such a time that we are told differently then there have been no lies or hoodwinking or anything similar. If he doesn't ride then they will deserve everything they get on this forum and beyond.
  9. Apologies, just seen there is already a thread
  10. NIELS-Kristian Iversen reckons the shackles of his shoulder injury have finally been broken as he prepares to lead King’s Lynn against Leicester on Wednesday (7.30).The Tru Plants Stars number one fired a fearsome signal of intent last week with a five-ride full maximum in the 45-45 draw at Somerset. That was only his fourth UK appearance since coming back from mid-season surgery and provided the Dane with a much-needed boost.“I am able to look forward now, I feel like I am going in the right direction and know that with time and some hard work that I will be back to where I want to be again,” said Iversen.“It has been difficult, especially when you come to meetings knowing you are not totally right.“Getting the physical or psychological advantage to be on top of your game is very tough but things are what they are. “I just have to get through it and treat it for what it is. That’s the best way to get back to my best shape.”King’s Lynn will operate rider replacement for Michael Palm Toft at number three. One ride can be taken by Lewis Kerr with the others divided between Kasper Andersen and Ty Proctor. With new averages kicking in for this meeting, Proctor rides from number seven with the rest of the Stars team order unchanged. New recruits Ricky Wells and Charles Wright feature in a full one-to-seven for the Lions. Ryan Kinsley is King’s Lynn’s number eight.*To read the full interview with Iversen on the decision to have his operation mid-season and a look back at his third career maximum at Somerset, pick up a copy of the club’s official programme at the track. It is packed with content and a bargain at £3. KING'S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Lewis Kerr, R/R for Michael Palm Toft, Thomas Jorgensen, Robert Lambert, Kasper Andersen, Ty Proctor.LEICESTER: Kenneth Bjerre, Krystian Pieszczek, Ricky Wells, Charles Wright, Hans Andersen, James Sarjeant, Todd Kurtz. 11. Alternatively if he does ride then no lies will have been told and it will have been a whole load of fuss over nothing, and not for the first time.
  12. I'm sure we've been here before with riders being 'down to ride' in Denmark. Doesn't mean Iversen will actually ride there but we shall see. As others have said MPT was declared unavailable some time last week.
  13. Used to go to Mildenhall regularly during their most recent PL stint, saw some fantastic racing during those few seasons. Have only been once or twice since as NL speedway has never really been my cup of tea but it's a fantastic little setting for some Sunday afternoon speedway.
  14. No big fuss here, just struggling to understand how it's ruthless when the two replaced riders are injured and R/R & guests aren't really covering adequately.
  15. I think the referee had no choice but to exclude the riders he did in both incidents but Mr Ped knew exactly what he was doing in his semi, he had a little glance across at Zmarzlik and then turned inwards just enough to make sure his front wheel was taken. Very crafty.
  16. I guess you could say that any circuit can be a trick track if the home riders are far more familiar with it than the visitors....Eastbourne will have been massively advantageous when they first dropped down as very few away riders knew too much about it. Same with Lakeside last year and as you say Belle Vue too. I guess anything out if the ordinary ie particularly big and fast or particularly small and tight would offer that extra bit if 'trickiness' too. I remember at Lynn 10-15 years ago in the second division we used to batter teams more often than not because of the surface more than anything, away riders would come with no idea how to turn the bike in fairly grippy conditions whereas riders like Topinka, Parker, Madsen, Brundle, Doolan, Allen, Oliver etc had done thousands of laps there and it was like a second nature. I'd say that hone track advantage can be magnified at NL level as many of the riders are so inexperienced.
  17. People who go to Belle Vue or Peterborough would probably disagree with that.
  18. Have always maintained that one needs to play golf to enjoy watching it.
  19. Exactly, but neither rider is? Not really sure what point you are trying to make, just having a good old poo stir I'd suggest.
  20. Not really ruthless if they are injured? I expect that neither rider would have been replaced if they were fit.
  21. While the promotion probably shouldn't have taken the steps that it did, if you are a pillock on a public forum on a daily basis you are eventually going to get some kind of comeback.
