  3. I questioned Zach’s heart and bottle ( he has the ability ). time will tell all I can say is watch this space over the next few days
  4. Because of the stupid way the authorities run the sport!! riders have a different average for team building than they do for green sheets which govern team structure and riding order etc then, they switch to rolling averages Adam’s team building average was this years Premiership times 1.5 now, the ROLLING averages kick in which include his second division scores from last season, plus this years Brum scores, hence the drop
  5. Harsh maybe but, true !!! From your comment, i’d Assume you are not.a Brummies fan who actually has to watch this bottling, week in, week out. I’m given to believe that the same criticisms are being levelled against him by some Swindon fans also, which if correct, speaks volumes!! what Zach needs, is to grow a pair!!
  6. Ulrich is quite simply useless and the only place he is heading, is the reserve berths IF he survives that long. Should be out of the door immediately Zach simply isn’t a fraction as good as he or his crew think he is and, he hasn’t got the bottle or the balls to be a speedway rider. Sorry. Once again last night he showed his lack of bottle. In his second ride, made a half decent gate but when he had both Eastbourne riders by him approaching the third bend, he CLEARLY shut the throttle off and pulled out of it. Not acceptable. Nathan Stoneman put both rides to shame, yet again Tom Bacon showed why he is such a firm fans favourite and just what a miss he is, not being in the team. I’d like to see BradleyWilson Dean plus one other, in for Ully and Zach and if not him then simply anyone will do me as opposed to those two makes you wonder just what Danyon Hume has done to upset the management and not be in the team. I know Laurence Rogers is worried about Danyon’s history of shoulder injuries but that shows just what a muppet Rogers is. He’s the third person that should be out of the door WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. This club will never get anywhere whilst he’s involved. History tells its own story about muppet Rogers!!!!
  7. Brummies gated on a 5-1. Pickering chased them down back straight and ran into Paco’s back Wheel causing a very nasty fall. No fault from Paco and just down to out and out effort from Pickering very heavy fall. Think he took a hefty blow to the head. Despite his trip to hospital, I’ve heard he was conscious and lucid, talking to paramedics etc so hopefully it’s nowhere as near as bad as it looked best wishes Josh. Get well soon
  8. He used to be the editor of the Speedway Star magazine
  9. Yes ( towards the end of last season, particularly when the criticism of Laurence Rogers was at it’s height and he got very upset by it ). Heard nothing from the management this season and haven’t felt like getting involved in any discussions with them
  10. Tom took a guaranteed team place as he couldn’t risk waiting any longer for the Brummies to decide which league to go in and totally missing out on a team spot elsewhere yes, Danyon’s shoulder injuries were considered as risk due to their regularity and the amount of meetings he missed because of them it’s my understanding that Mitchell Davey and at least one other rider were given assurances that they wise guaranteed a team place for this season, regardless of which league we were in then, those places suddenly disappeared over the winter I’m sure most Brummies fans would have been much happier having Tom, Danyon and Mitch in the team we might not be a much better team but the fans would have had some continuity and riders who they had a strong bond with and as such, would probably cut them more slack Unlike some posters, I don’t hide my identity, even having my photo by my name on the Brummies forum so, knowing the management monitor that forum, presumably, they do the same here so, if I get banned for airing my views, so be it There seem to be about three or four of us who are prepared to say it as it is and I’ve already been questioned this season as to the identity of two of those other people so as you can see, it maybe doesn’t pay to be to free with any criticisms
  11. Sadly, as you’ve found to your own cost “Give us a B”, the Brummies forum only accepts positive views made by people with rose tinted glasses. Anything remotely negative just gets you slaughtered or banned, as you well know I you were able to go onto said forum, you’d see that it is virtually dead!! Hardly anyone posts anymore. I think most people have decided that if you have nothing good to say then say NOTHING!!! yes, I do mix a lot with the management and am torn as to wether or not to email them with my views as I genuinely feel for them. I fully appreciate them saving our club and understand their reasons for putting together this team. I also know from talking to them last season just how upset they were with the criticisms they received. I know that at one stage, there was the possibility of them wanting the forum shut down and even a feeling of considering strong sanctions against certain fans so, what do you do? I don’t want to get banned and I don’t want to be seen as the reason why the promotion walk away but, I have strong views and want to see the club flourish. This will not happen with this team it really hurts me to see my beloved team in such a poor state of affairs and venting on here helps ease the stress and the feeling of saying enough is enough and walking away from the sport. What would you do Give Us A B? Would you email the promotion and if so, what response do you think you would get? one abiding memory for me of last season, was just how extremely angry the promotion was over the criticisms they were hearing and the actions they considered because of those criticisms should I email my thoughts to them?
  12. To my mind, Zach is a major disappointment. He quite clearly looks for the safest place on the track where he is in no danger of contact with any rider or any situation which may need him to mix it with an opponent. Yes he’s scoring his average but, he’s staying safe, not taking any risks and several times last night, you could clearly see him close the throttle off or deliberately change line to stay safe rather than to race. The clearest case was against Kennett when he gated level but then, turned sharp right going into the first bend and rode the fence to avoid having to compete with his opponent. We all saw that no one rode the outside all night as there was no dirt, no grip and no point doing so Zach is flattering to deceive. To me he hasn’t had a half decent meeting so far but, is settling for safe second and third places in most races. He makes one decent gate a meeting for a race win which helps his average. I wouldn’t shed any tear if we dropped him this is without doubt one of the worst ever Brummies teams I have seen and I’ve been watching since the late 1970’s It won’t win a meeting all season, home or away. Ulrich continues his downward spiral and is at best, a third heat leader. Unfortunately, we don’t have any other heat leaders, the rest being second string or reserve quality at best. Newman is a major disappointment and doesn’t Look like his heart is in it at all every rider seems capable of one good ride a meeting then several poor ones god forbid, we even managed to make Kennel look good last night. Our gating is appalling The meeting was over by heat five and we only looked better in the later part of the meeting as Eastbourne relaxed and eased off. Its May 2nd. We are out of both cups already and can have no hope whatsoever in the League. Season over already i undrerstand why the team was constructed this way, to be able to afford to survive financially BUT.... the team is so weak that only the die yards like myself will watch it: people will not come to watch this dross every week attendances are woeful and will only get worse I, as a diehard , am struggling to find the motivation to go every week despite being a season ticket holder I had booked the time off work to go to every away meeting but, will not be going away, to watch this team as I work way to hard to earn my money, to waste it on a completely uncompetitive team such as this i don’t think the owners are prepared to spend the money needed to sort this out and sadly, I an see us folding mid season things aren’t helped you having such a tactically inept team manager with both the meeting and, the tie long dead, he takes Tobias out of heat eight , his easiest ride, when he needs all the track time he can get then, he uses Kyle who is struggling badly as his tactical rider when surely it should have been Ully. Rogers is speedways answer to boris Johnson he’s a clown last season was ruined by not making the glaringly obvious changes and I have no doubt the same will happen here to have to keep reading official club reports that we are only a few points from winning a meeting and that there were many positives from our performances, is quite frankly an insult to our intelligence this team is garbage and with it, we are doomed to closure
  13. The facilities are on the whole very good but, there is no real outside seating. There is however an excellent indoor restaurant with superb seating and viewing car parking is available at the stadium for a small charge but spaces are limited mist people park at the one stop shipping centre snout two minutes walk from the stadium and it is free
  14. The promotion have always said they were working to a five year plan and made it obvious that moving up the leagues was their intention but I agree that it might not have been this quickly. The watering down of the National League and the reluctance of many of our fans to attend other than Championship level, seems to have brought the planned elevation forward somewhat.
  15. Last season according to Jayne Moss from Buxton
  16. Can anyone local to the track, provide weather updates please as we are in Marsden and it’s absolutely tipping it down at this rate, can’t see it bring on and I’m certainly not forking out £50 admission money for a rain off as there’s no way we’d be able to get to any restaging , due to work commitments thanks
  17. Yes, I’m the Hobbit, aka Bilbo Baggins. I respect that you have come on here and publicly stated both your position and have made apologies. I certainly feel that you definitely owed Laurence Rogers a massive apology. As you know, I dish it out somewhat on the Brummies forum and as such, I expect people to fire back at me at times so, with that in mind, you don’t owe me an apology as I work on the principal of if you give it out you’ve got to be able to take it back we are all passionate fans but we must be aware that there’s a line you don’t cross, espescialy where dishing out personal or insulting comments are concerned and unfortunately, as you seem to have admitted, I think you crossed that line too much but it takes balls to publicly admit it!! I hope you keep posting on here as you obviously love speedway and, The Brummies so, do as you’ve said, control it better and keep on enjoying supporting the Brummies
  18. Will be ten yards first bend side of the start finish line near a small gate
  19. Pity you didn’t have the balls to put this post on the Brummies Forum where your rant occurred , rather than on here just deleting the offending post then hiding the apology away on here, is just copping out does the “b” in give us a b, stand for BRAIN?
  20. We couldn’t win at home so why do you think we can win at their place? I hope we do but, I think the difference will be that the Kent reserves will heavily outscore ours so, Kent by 12 or more
  21. Not if you’d seen him tonight. His head has totally gone up im afraid with Layne and . Aaran at reserve, we have absolutely no score power and no options not even sure either rider will be able to complete heat two at either Easto or Cradley without falling off so, at most, we will get only one point from their eight rides, possibly no score at all !!! We are screwed now Leon is in the team as the reserves simply will not score sorry
  22. this years green sheet NL Averages 2018 matches only National trophy and knock out cup do not count average earned after completeing FOUR national league matches, be they all home, all away or any combination the new average comes into effect 7 days after completion of the fourth N L match thereafter, all future NL matches up to 23rd of next calendar month go towards each subsequent new average which then takes effect from 1st iof each calendar month unattached 3 point riders can no longer go through the season guesting here there and everywhere without getter by an average. They now get an average after competing in 4 NL matches, no matter who they ride for during those four matches clear as mud!!!
  23. I think there will be a reserve switch fairly soon but despite Embleton being a good shout, I don’t think it will be him. I’m expecting it to be one of the lads who shone at our press and practice but it wasn’t available until the end of June
  24. JPB is out with a shoulde injury which has left him with no feeling in his arm and, hand
