Edinburgh Vs Poole 4th August
NeilWatson replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sensible to put the ‘most important’ match on first - if it affects play-offs for example - in case of rain or accident curtailing the 30 heats. -
What was the case? Which meeting at Glasgow? Which junior rider?
-
No facility for Dan as mentioned elsewhere so RR not permitted. The facility for the top three by average is a guest or RR
-
Yes, I was part of the discussions and plans.

There’s a building eminently suited to indoor racing on the East of England Showground. Oh, hang on, that’s going to be demolished……..:-(
-
While the 2022 regulations contained an identical reg 10.3.1, it also contained Reg 012.2 which was contradictory: A Premiership Transfer Window opens after 25% of the League fixtures are complete and closes when 75% of League fixtures are complete. This permits changes to the team on 2 occasions, except for proven long term injury. Reg 012.2 doesn't appear in the 2023 Regulations
-
The Speedway Regulations are unambiguous: 010.3.1 Cut Off Date No team changes will be allowed after 28th August with the effective date being 31st August. Except riders returning to the team after injury who can only replace their original replacement.

Is the right answer......

Letting a broadcaster waste a large sum of money preparing for a meeting that is unlikely to go ahead doesn’t help any contract renewal discussions.
-
Of course not. For a non-broadcast meeting a Promoter might delay a decision (perhaps overnight) to see if the weather and conditions improve. A TV meeting incurs a great deal of cost for the broadcaster, much of which can be mitigated with an early postponement.
-
Without doubt the correct decision, especially for a TV meeting

Not sure where you are thinking of, but that’s definitely not Peterborough! There’s a Harvester near the Showground entrance - no KFC, Pizza Hut or pub at the track car park! -

Your post completely misunderstands the process of random drug testing in speedway. -
Scunthorpe vs Redcar KOC Semi Final 14/15 July
NeilWatson replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No, in particular circumstances depending where the absent riders are: SR12.4 If a rider is representing their FMN in an FIM/FIME or National Speedway Championship, irrespective of the rider’s MA, a choice of G or RR facility is available. -

In certain circumstances a team could be made up of seven guests! -
No….. https://www.pressreader.com/uk/the-peterborough-evening-telegraph/20171207/283330407653362

We still speak almost every day, I’ll mention it ……
-
A Promoter’s licence relates to a specific Club and appointment; and I have neither of those at the moment.
-
It wouldn’t. Ged was clear that we would continue to race in the second tier if no sale took place.

30.06.2023 - League - Scunny v Oxford
NeilWatson replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Having a No 8 wouldn’t have changed that situation (unless he’d taken the RR in Heat 1 of course).
