  1. Art 18.1.8: The cut off date for the Premiership League will be 19th September and the Championship League will be 15th September.
  2. PETERBOROUGH Speedway owner Keith Chapman insists the short term future of the club is secure. Reports have surfaced outlining proposals for redevelopment at the East of England Arena - but Chapman insists this will be a longer term project. He said: “We are in dialogue with the management at the Showground who have kept us in touch with developments. “Whatever happens, it’s not an overnight situation. I fully expect the sport to continue at the venue for the next few seasons without actually putting a timescale on it. “The Showground have been superb in keeping me updated and have been reassuring. There will be Speedway there next year.”

  4. Presumably worried about a restaging date should tonight be off. Weather is very good in Peterborough so far
  5. .....It’s the first home meeting since July for Panthers and Belle Vue are needing the maximum four points for their play-off hopes.....
  6. Only Porsing from the Premiership would fit, up to 7.26 for a Championship only rider. Round the Showground Simon is a decent choice.
  7. PETERBOROUGH reserve Jason Garrity is ruled out of Thursday’s big clash with Belle Vue. Garrity has reported to his local hospital with back pain and need time to rest and recover. Crendon Panthers bosses have moved quickly to book the popular Simon Lambert as cover. Boss Carl Johnson said: “I first heard about this at 4pm but I have to say it wasn’t from Jason. “I’m told he has a back issue and I’ve spoken to his Dad. We send Jason our best wishes, it’s a surprise because I was in regular contact with him yesterday and nothing was mentioned. “Our thanks go to Simon Lambert who is always happy to step in and we know we will get 100 per cent effort from him. “He knows the track and knows the club, we are pleased to have him in the side.” It’s the first home meeting since July for Panthers and Belle Vue are needing the maximum four points for their play-off hopes. Racing starts at 7.30
  8. Jordan Palin is still 15 years old, so he won't be an asset of any Club.
  9. The stadium has now been replaced by a Tesco superstore, which has a large mural in the foyer commemorating the history of stock cars at the stadium. I don’t recall speedway ever being staged there.
  10. Peterborough press release this morning: PETERBOROUGH'S final meeting of a difficult season will take place at the East of England Arena on a rare Tuesday night. The Crendon Panthers have finally agreed a date with play-off chasing Wolverhampton for Tuesday September 17. As with all remaining home meetings - starting with Belle Vue this Thursday - Carl Johnson's side can have a major say on the play-off race. "It's been tough," said Johnson. "But now we have our final date in place we can focus on getting the best out of what we have. "We want to see the fans backing the team, backing the club and showing what the sport means to them at Peterborough." Swindon, who are aiming to finish top, are the visitors next Monday, September 9, before the Wolves fixture.
  11. Race points difference is the next consideration, which is why Wolves sit above Belle Vue this morning despite having the same number of match points.
  12. SWINDON: Jason Doyle, 3 2*3 2* Adam Ellis, 1 3 3 2* 3 Rasmus Jensen, 3 2 3 2 Nick Morris, 1 1* 2* 3 Troy Batchelor, 3 3 3 3 2* Ellis Perks, 3 2* 0 2* Claus Vissing.2*2*1 F PETERBOROUGH: Rohan Tungate, 2 3 1* 1 1 1 Ty Proctor, 0 0 0 Charles Wright 2 1 1 3 Hans Andersen, R 0 0 Scott Nicholls, 0 1 0 R Ulrich Ostergaard, 1 0 1 1 Jason Garrity.0 1 2 2 0 0
  13. 5) Already in a position (Promoter at Kings Lynn)
  14. No, but would fit to replace Aaron Summers at Peterborough.
  15. Irrelevant - the changes are made using the current (August) averages, not some mythical future figure.
  16. The changes will be made on the current (August) averages - so no they weren’t.
  17. Art 19.7.4 of the Speedway Regulations: It is mandatory for riders to appear in the NDL 4TT, NDL BP and NDLRC; riders will be suspended from their next 2 Home Meetings in contravention, subject to the Directors confirmation.
  18. Acceptance wouldn't take long. I would expect a professional rider to be ready to ride at all times in case of a guest booking. I believe Ben lives in Essex. Once again, as the why, where, how isn't known it's not possible to draw any conclusions.
  19. Art 18.8.1 - If a rider is representing their FMN in an FIM Speedway Championship, irrespective of the rider’s MA, a choice of G or RR facility is available.
  20. But you don't know the why, where and how any more than me - so you can't assert 'he could have been there'. Anyway - would you lend Jason a bike............. :-)
  21. What you know from Ged and I is factual, from face-to-face discussions - and you can be sure that should you misquote us we would let you know! I never really saw myself as enigmatic - more diplomatic......
  22. That would very much depend on when, where and why - and I won't comment on this particular case. However, in some cases it might be possible to rent a replacement van, or double-up with a team-mate (or opposition rider!)
