so as I said if it's set way above what is needed what's the point of it being there ?
-
if the engine doesn't hit the limiter during a race what's the point of the limiter ?yes John's does but we are talking peanuts in money saving , every rider should know the importance of a clean air filter and yes there are mechanics who Rev the engines in the pits but we are talking hardly a difference in cost , gerhard , kelvin and Peter are all good at their job which is to be the fastest but as a way forward for the sport they seem ignorant and single minded that the problem speedway is not a motor sport , it's a team sport on motorbikes
-
fine , bury your head in the sand as usual , Peter John's and the like are driving this sport to oblivion , you can see it , everyone can see it , we are living it but still it goes on , maybe the sport deserves to die , you would think so the way that the influenceial people treat it, speedway is not f1 not even a poor mans f1 , never has been never will be ,the majority of fans both current and ex don't give a damm about engines or their tuners , all the sport needs is a cheap reliable engine that can't be tuned/ messed about with , enforced through holomagation of parts and strict rules , everything else is plastering over the huge hole we have dug for ourselves
-
Just reading the piece in the speedway star about the Rev limiters , a couple of points , setting the limit above 10,000 revs isn't going to make a dent in service costs and to set it lower is dangerous to the riders and all these "experts" keep ignoring the fact that all motorsports use the same principle 100% traction from rear wheel onto the ground but speedway is completely the opposite , it requires the exact opposite way of thinking to ride , the clue is in the fact that a tyre lasts 5 mins , it is stupid to any engineer to have a single cylinder engine Reving at over 10,000 and only producing 65 mph but that's speedway and these so called "experts " should know better
-
which is still loads more than the majority of sports in this country , how many people attend tennis , cricket athletics on a weekly basis ?

more to the point where did it go ? Because to me it sounds very close to the point of blackmail -
Adam skornicki is availible and you will not find a more likeable or committed rider
-
not sure if you watched many leszno meetings last year but he was one bright light in an otherwise dismal season , they regularly dropped pedersen and kildermand instead of musielak
-
Call me cynical but Nicki pedersen had been rumoured to be on his way out of leszno cause basically they wanted the Nicki of old not the loved up one they got last season, he has posted on his social media that he had been in Poland having meetings with other teams , then out of the blue him and barbie announce they have split up cause "they couldn't make it work" , roll on a couple of weeks and again out of the blue leszno resign him for this season and the very next day surprise surprise him and barbie are back together

David Gordon has in his head an issue rightly or wrongly over paying the rent but he didn't have an issue with the riders so why were they not paid on time if at all ? Even the national league riders were owed money , -
What Makes A Good Team Manager?

I've also rode a couple of meetings for middlo and stayed his place when mechanicing for other riders , the big difference between him and Adams is middlo is like one of the lads where Adams most defiantly isn't I prefer middlo as a team manager but I think Adams is better at it . Jack lee is a very good TM but has mainly played his trade at the lower levels but was good at bham and Sheffield . If you have team riders like Sam Ermolenko or Jason crump you don't really need a TM -

I've rode for Pete Adams and I just don't get him , I know he is arguably the best but I just don't know why , I got more motivation from a good captain , -

Why don't Manchester City council become the promotors ? Employ a speedway manager person to addresss the speedway side of things , then whatever comes through the turnstiles goes into MCCs account , they pay the riders and whoever but at least they will get their rent and if there is any profit to be made they will be the ones to make it and councils have no problem getting company's to sponsor projects , (you know the old you scratch my back ) you never know if they did make it pay other councils would want in on the act and once other councils started to make it pay the government would want in on it , then there would be no more noise issues and speedway would be back at the top of the sporting world or I am getting a little ahead on myself -

I think Torun was £7m , the thing is about those 2 stadiums is they give you goosebumps even when they are empty -

track is excellent but as a venue it's not even in the same league as Torun or gorzow -
perhaps you missed the bit where riders are owed money all over the place because the money isn't there , nobody is saying they are overpaid just that the money isn't there with the current crowd levels and to get the crowds coming back you need to dangle the temptation carrot and the first point of call is always price ,sorry It doesn't make pleasant reading but niether does the headlines of clubs going bust
-
there will always be riders , just maybe not the standard that we have now
-
totally agree one of the worst things ever to happen to team speedway, it has no merit or credibility for fans , it's good for riders but as I've asked before who is the most important fans or riders ?
-
Reading the piece in the speedway star about CVS walking through the pits after his last double header in 2015 when his team had lost to both belle vue and then Leicester and he said the riders didn't seem to care , they were laughing and joking like it didn't matter , well that's how a lot of ex supporters feel about modern riders
-
and well done to Redcar but with more expensive better riders planning to double up , the gap between the redcar's and the glasgows will be bigger than ever
-
good theory but wrong , what will happen is the likes of Workington will try to afford the same to compete and pay above what they can afford and you get the Workington / Plymouth situation all over again. I thought the agm was ok but until more people attend speedway the business model for the sport doesn't work . You can't pay out more than you get in
-
Putting aside the issues of doubling up/down , are the likes of bomber and watt going to ride for premier money when they double down ? I doubt it , so how is this helping the likes of Workington or any premier team financially ?
