the strange thing is the polish fans dont like fridays and they get low crowds in comparison to Sundays but I guess its the TV that counts -

I just saw that they are showing the relegation playoff next week on BT , I think I will watch it on polish tv as its going to be cringeworthy when Kelvin and Nigel have to explain that some of the riders will be riding against their own teams and possibly relegating them , at least on polish I dont understand what they are saying -

yes there is enough riders , it has been proven many times , when will people understand this message , British speedway is dying , fans are not attending anymore so whatever we are doing now has got to change , points limits , doubling up, prices , its got to change -

and the lucky ones will be choosing Poland when they enforce their one team policy next year, british teams are not loyal cause they can just go and use some other teams riders and that is ridiculous , take away doubling up and teams will be more loyal cause they have to be ,british speedway has created this problem ,it is our own doing and now we are being punished for it and riders are quite frankly loosing the point of team speedway because they are just chasing the £, they are pretty much individuals now like in motox or other motorsports who the team sport doesn't exsist and they are just using the teams to meet their ends and there in a nutshell is why team speedway in Britain is dying, the fans cant adopt the riders as their own , take away that bond and you dont have team speedway .we should just forget teams and make speedway an individual sport where riders just ride for prize money like it is in the USA -

it makes the sport look a joke and the whole point of teams to follow is too have teams to follow with your riders not just mercenarys who turn up ride and dont care a hoot about the team or the town or the supporters ,I remember CVS saying after they lost in a playoff semi final he walked through the pits after the meeting and the riders just didnt look like they cared and were not hurt like he was, well thats because they were not cause they were all off to their other teams later that week , doubling up is a joke and needs to be stopped now -

there simply isnt the talent around to buy it up , the quality from the 80s just isnt around in numbers , people keep saying the richest teams will just buy the best riders , who are these riders ? Where are they hiding ? Cause pretty much every top rider thats wants to ride here already does , so lets hear some names, pick pooles team for 2018 , remember must have I Brit and no more than 1 GP rider and there must be a chance they want to ride here so you can rule out riders like zmarzlik, Laguta and if Poland extend their rider ban there will be even less to choose from -

like who , one Brit , maximum one GP rider and 2 u21 reserves , leaving teams to sign 3 riders whoever they want , who are these 3 heatleaders ? There isnt the riders out there that want to ride here that are not in the GPs , people seem to think teams will just sign these superstars that in reality dont exsist , do an actual example ,write down all the teams , give them 1 Brit and 1 GP rider and just see who they could sign as there other 3, it wont be much different to the teams they have this year -
I was told last week that the new track isnt going to be built but the current track is going to be made smaller but I think this is all bull and its just going to be strung out until the critical point and then the end of swindon speedway and GA move onto their next victims

If you set the points limit at 46 or above you would get a more expensive team than if you used my idea of no points limit and one Brit and no more than one GP rider with 2 u21 Brits at reserve ,points to make teams has had its day and the sport needs to think outside its box ,its never been a better time to get rid of points limit due to the riders that are available -
and the amount some of them are paid these days its not a bad paid profession either
-
unfortunatly not , the Richard hall Birmingham saga said it all to me ,when Everyone knows the decisions are really made by peter Morrishs superior who just happens to be the promoter of the very team who hall eventually rides for , it stinks and its always been the same
-
while I agree that all riders should receive the same treatment, I am reliably informed that Daveys excuse was genuine ,I am still sceptical but thats what Im told , you know me I am highly critical of the way some riders treat the speedway even at NL level and until its dealt with properly we will always get events like this
-
NL riders want the big money like professional riders but when it suits them they want the amateur status , riders have pulled out of this meeting for years because the pay is standard money , I guess the SCB have finally taken a stand and good on them , more and more I hear I wouldnt get out of bed for that money and thats from average NL riders

So bspa vice chairman Rob Godfrey says doubling up has been something of a nightmare but it will change for next season, there is light at the end of the tunnel ,in my dreams I wish he had finally seen sense and going to scrap doubling up altogether but the reality is they are just going to change the days team race on , guess thats another year I wont be attending the top 2 leagues then 🙁 -

speedway isnt booming in Poland , its healthy but crowds have not increased ,not enough people go to leszno to pay Nikki pedersen let alone the others , its sponsors and council money that pays the bills , companys like Fogo spend a lot of money in speedway , look at the Center greens in Poland it is packed with sponsor boards , add their sponsor money together , chuck in some council money and you will get most of your income -

what I am saying is the gate money becomes irrelevant the sport becomes financed by sponsors , Poland has a good percentage of their wages and bills paid by sponsors and as good as crowds as some of them get it doesn't cover the wages ,that is where we need to be aiming ,so it doesn't matter if the crowd is 1000 or 10,000 the wages and bills are paid for , if we were get to that position we could make every meeting £10 ,its getting there that's the problem ,one big company like coca cola spend more on advertising per year than the entire wages for the whole of the speedway world and there are 1000s of company's who do similar but why would they give it to speedway as it is, if I had the money I wouldn't and I love the sport , we need to get our act together first , take stock of where we are and build from there, we are in a shocking state and not a month goes by without some sort of balls up , these company's reputations depend on the products and sports they back , the exposure they pay for on tv in other sports is eye watering but they don't get embarrassed by those sports ,we have that exposure, the company's are there we just have to show we deserve their money and at the moment we don't, when we first got our sky It pretty much went to the riders , where was the fans part of the deal? ,where was the re investment of the sport ?nowhere is the answer and look where we are today ,riders demanding ever more and there is no sky to cough up so it basically falls on the fans to meet the ever rising costs , im sure I read or heard that even sky were not impressed how the money was spent
