  1. If the Muslim or Sikh community were running the GP Gorton would of been alive with streets buzzing with attractions and things to do just like the early years of Cardiff instead discovery put up some scaffolding with a big M on it and think that will entertain fans, some of you must of been to the weston super mare beach race, look how the organisers take over the town making it an event, discovery do nothing and that’s why people won’t go, it’s just a meeting not an event
  2. We were talking about Wembley this morning up the man cave and how poor the racing was but it was the atmosphere that made it
  3. I will go to belle vue happily a couple of times this season for a league meeting but the GP is a different thing all together, I didn’t go to landshut for the racing I went for the event, the experience, maybe I don’t like speedway anymore ? I have give blood sweat and tears for speedway on both sides of the fence all my life and still do, I am speedway, it’s my purpose and it breaks my heart to see the pinnacle of the sport in the Uk as such a low key event that won’t make a flutter to the outside world, I will be glued to the tv tonight but I haven’t got the feeling of missing out because it’s just a meeting and nothing else
  4. Yep thought you would miss the point, nothing wrong with belle vue track and yes it probably is the best track in the uk even though I would argue Workington is better but nobody went to Cardiff for the track or the racing ,they went for the event, for the whole experience, the day out, the p**s up, call it whatever you want and it attracted speedway folk who hasn’t been in years because of the buzz about the day and the crowd dropped off because the organisers rested in their past success instead of trying to improve it and it got stale, it needed a new Cardiff not belle vue. I’m sure the racing will be great tonight and tomorrow but that’s not going to attract me or 85%of the 1000s who went to Cardiff to go or any of the randem non speedway folk who went because of the buzz of the event ,the GP is an event, it’s a celebration, it’s a days entertainment, the speedway is secondary, 19,000 went last year and now we down to 6500 and it hasn’t even sold out
  5. And when the sport finally grasps why someone like me isn’t interested in going to a GP at belle vue then maybe we can move the sport forward, even some of the line up know belle vue is a backward step and before you miss the point Cardiff had run it’s corse too
  6. My Mrs and my lad are going to both but I’m not, tonight a friend offered me a ticket for Saturday but I’m just not interested in going
  7. Seems to be a fair number of tickets coming up for resale for both days, keep seeing them advertised, have people changed their minds about going ?
  8. Bomber and zmarzlik are 2 of the most exciting riders on the world stage and are miles apart in their careers
  9. Have Oxford ever considered if they watered the track sufficiently they might actually win
  10. Lawson’s dirt deflector flapping about, well it’s not because of the dirt hitting it, the only bike thing working overtime is the air filter spray
  11. Does anyone know if they switched the water bowser on when it went round on the track grade ?
  12. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1ErFCVALnz/?mibextid=wwXIfr Bit of pre GP entertainment on the streets of Manchester, stunt car show
  13. From what I’ve seen of Hagon this season he likes a bit of dirt around the outside, he enters the corner fast, drifts across till he hits the dirt and relies on that outside line to pull him out of the corner, pretty much everything Perry Barr doesn’t have, he isn’t the worst rider we could of had but in a struggling team I can’t see enough points from him to make our task any easier, anyway good luck Sam hope you prove me wrong
  14. With poor crowds relatively speaking and half a team and finances at rock bottom Gorzow are still in a better position than rybnik
  15. It must be heartbreaking for Gorzow fans watching their former hero winning races for fun against them when they are in dire circumstances
