Either would be a waste. To be quite honest, this team will only work if we have someone who can work as a heat leader. Proctor aside, i can't actually think of someone available who'd fill that role.

A similar crowd & field of rider to what Garry Stead had would be perfect really. Excellent looking side to me! Solid heatleaders, good middle men and a reserve on a bargain average. I can definitely see Covatti upping his average a fair bit if he's on decent machinery. I see an awful lot of potential in that team from 1-7, and if reached Ipswich will be the team to beat for me.

Sissis would be a good signing, as long as we start him at reserve. I feel he'd still need his time to get back into the swing of things in speedway. And as long as bates does get a reduction, we could have- Stead Bellego Birks Poole Proctor Bates Sissis

I can't see him being away from Sheffield, or at least i hope not! I think on that sort of average he's a bit of a steal. I just can't see the point in letting him leave after just signing him up as an asset.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if they did make it mandatory to have Brits at reserve if I'm honest. And even though Covatti would be a trump card at reserve, i wouldn't be apposed to the idea of it at all. Something needs to change either way.

A spell at reserve should do him a world of good though and i think we'd get a lot out of him on such a low average of 4.19.

I wouldn't be too concerned with regards to Stead. You can look at the flip side and say why haven't they announced Bates yet? Without a doubt in my mind, unless there's a massive in the league structure or points limit, then both will be at Sheffield.

Sarjeant- 3 Facu- 3.66 Bates- 3.53 (or 3.44 if he get's a reduction) There's no chance Bates won't be at Sheffield next season though. But i think a reserve pairing of Bates with Albin would work.
