  1. Coventry have a pile of the stuff on their centre that doesn't stand much chance of being used this year. Don't think it really matters as when the track was built I can't remember any riders criticizing it after having a ride around. Cheeky sod.
  2. He's Welsh you know. Over the years I've learned that what you have to do with SCB posts is add a few words where appropriate or change a few around then it all makes perfect sense.......mostly. Agree but I think the fact Ipswich have first priority has made things a bit more tricky.
  3. You might not have been anywhere because you've been selecting which posts you like but you've definitely not been posting yourself for a while. I thought you might have come back a bit more chilled but obviously not. Actually I don't know what he's referring to so perhaps you can jog my memory because I don't have Sky. Presumably the circumstances were similar to the Coventry v Poole match? I'll say just Poole Speedway if it will annoy starman. Not been to Poole for a few years but it didn't seem too bad. Loads of motorbikes on the quay one evening ~ Tuesday? Nice boat trips on the Solent Scene. Err......Old Harry Rocks, Sandbanks, Brownsea Island, Poole Pottery. Is that still there?
  4. OY! You were doing okay until that bit. I've supported the Bees for over 30 years but I live in Leicester and there are many others who don't actually have a Coventry address.
  5. Well, at least it will please starman. I hate Poole myself, although Dorset is nice. I am very aware of that and the fact he always picks up on anything mentioning Poole that might not be 100% favourable. As far as I can see HC was commenting on track inspections/rain/Sky and that particular match involved Poole and Belle Vue. Another one that springs to my mind was at Coventry with Sky present again, rain.......oh and Poole of course. Luckily I was on holiday so missed it all.
  6. Oh gawd he's back and still with a chip on his shoulder. No-one mention Poole in any comments unless they are full of praise.
  7. Royal Mail working fine here. I phoned the Speedway Star office yesterday to order a 26 week subscription starting from March 4th and both copies have arrived this morning. Thanks also to the SS for being so efficient.
  8. I thought they'd put it up for sale again?
  9. What's wrong with April 1st for the season preview? It's like one of those damn Friday the 13th dates that come round now and again.
  10. Right near the Police Station? They'll shoot it down.
  11. What do you want him to do? Hire a helicopter or light aircraft?
  12. Not forgetting the prone dog fast asleep on a blanket, just to complete the real family image that SCB loves so much. Agree but think Swindon comes a very close second. Mind you it will probably be a bit warmer now all those houses have been built.
  13. No not that Sandhu. This was the partner he claimed he never had as he owned the stadium 100% himself.
  14. Or......a massive mural of human figures making it look as if the back straight is packed. As the camera only wizzes by concentrating on the riders no-one at home would notice they're not real.
  15. You might have liked my post Fliss44 but I have an idea False watsit may be quietly hoping it doesn't happen.
  16. I'm definitely interested in the Peterborough one because that was already planned so I hope it still goes ahead.
  17. He might have meant Cradley actually as they are still riding ~ not on their own track admittedly but they are still an active team.
  18. Is that what you call his style of riding? I could think of a few more descriptions.
  19. You can understand the Scottish people? .....
  20. What's wrong with you all? Even I can understand the joke. Oleoleole asked if anyone else wanted a kick while he's down and that was the reply. The only thing wrong is he's missed off the 'r' at the end of your son. Probably ruined the joke though by doing that. Never mind.
  21. There's no incentive apart from being able to go straight to the entrance rather than queuing up to pay and certainly no designated seat. I was going to get a season ticket at Brandon this year purely because I would have struggled to get through the turnstile with dog, seat and bag since they stopped entrance at the 'pit gate.' No turnstile at Leicester though so no problem and I wouldn't ever consider buying a season ticket there.
  22. Perhaps it's this? http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=83639 Well they would be the best wouldn't they? Both loaded and able to pay out the top rates which is all that matters to riders.
  23. Oh yes and he loved being sacked by Mick when he took over. No axe to grind there.
