  1. When are you going to start? By the way you never did reply to my question about bones, muscles and tendons. You seemed to know all about it and as it's affecting me at the moment and I've had no advice I thought I might learn something.
  2. I know where I'll be going ~ weather permitting. I reckon PK will do okay with a good number of Wolves, Cradley and Birmingham fans likely to attend, plus one Bees fan.
  3. How does anyone know when there is no way of checking who is behind the company due to it being based in Jersey. Very convenient that.
  4. I wonder if anyone has contacted David as judging by his comments on Facebook he's itching to ride again. Would be nice to finish his career at his home club. I'm not sure though if it is just grasstrack or longtrack he's interested in at the moment but I bet he wouldn't take much persuading.
  5. Jeremy Heaver is 'one of his people' and he has been quite public on Facebook but whether there has been a statement of intent or not I can't make my mind up.
  6. Good news for Leicester fans so hopefully Coventry will be the same. Having given it considerable thought we have decided to reduce this season’s admission prices to Adults £17 and Over 65’s £14 with children remaining unaltered at £5 for 10 to 17 years inclusive and Under 10’s free. This will also be reflected in the price of our 2017 Season Tickets which are now Adults £270, Over 65’s £225 and Children £80. This offer includes all 16 SGB Premiership fixtures, plus all Knockout Cup matches and one Challenge meeting.
  7. The future is tomorrow, next week, next month. At the moment the future for the Bees is riding at Leicester ~ that bit is clear so the fixtures can be announced. I doubt very much if even the promoters know what will happen so how can they tell us any more? Personally I think Sandhu and/or his family are involved with Brandon Estates and they have no intention of putting anything right at the stadium so I'm just grateful we'll be able to see the Bees in action even if it's not on their own track. Who do you think are stalling ~ the Coventry promoters or Sandhu? Nothing can be done inside the stadium until the owners Brandon Estates let anyone in, which at the moment they are not. I wonder why?
  8. Yes, he is.......I think. So much else been going on I'm not sure. Just checked and he is, along with King, Bjerre, Bjerre, Garrity, Kerr and Bates.
  9. Perhaps he can book a few lessons with Chris Harris.
  10. It's a pleasure to come on here and read all the positive posts. Why not just see how things go as the promoters probably know no more about our chances of returning than we do at the moment. If we don't get back to Brandon by September then that's the end but in the meantime make the most of watching the Bees at Leicester for however long it takes.
  11. Is it likely Kylmakorpi will sign? If so I'll be very pleased as I was hoping he would ride for Coventry this season but sadly not.
  12. I'm not sure if this is further forward but here is what Alum Rossiter had to say on Facebook today ~ copied because I know you aren't on there TWK. Lady's and Gentlemen this is the Home of Swindon speedway until you see another building going up we will continue to race at the Abbey . The time to worry is when they start to knock down this stadium down and there isn't a new one in the corner. As I was at the very first council meeting from the off,the council made it very clear that the new one had to be built before they take down the Abbey. Understand your frustration but we have a track we have a team so let's not worry about the new one until it's built.
  13. I'm not sure I understand that because if there is a break in a bone then ligaments and muscles have to be cut through to get to the bone to repair it. So you're saying the bone will heal but not the surrounding ligaments and muscles?
  14. He'll probably have 24 hour flu and they'll bring a track specialist in.
  15. Yes, sorry that's what I meant. I should really go to bed earlier and not be posting on here after midnight.
  16. Ah.....that would be the Poole match last season that they expected to win but didn't. Not the tracks fault the riders weren't interested if they didn't gate. I actually saw some good racing in 2016 but of course it depends on the visiting riders being willing to give it a go and not just go through the motions. Chris Harris is usually brilliant at Beaumont Park and he definitely doesn't gate. Sorry Steve....it was nice to see you that night and hope you'll give it another try sometime this season.
  17. Hopefully one of them is the Coventry v Belle Vue match on July 31st. Daft idea to have a meeting on that date. Correction ....me bad....21st. I knew it was that but my finger decided to type 3 instead of 2. I've chopped it off now.
  18. Perhaps he's going to buy a Coventry one instead.......or perhaps not.
  19. I greatly admire anyone who can reel the names off of rubbish foreigners from the 1970's. Afraid I can't do that although I've no doubt watched plenty of them over the years. The only foreigners that have stuck in my memory as being pretty awful for Coventry are Daniel Davidson and Brian Yarrow but that is more recent. There was another but I can't spell his name, otherwise known as 'Roadblock' so he must have done okay if no-one dare pass him.
  20. I'm sure that will be the case, but a little bit early yet as the team hasn't been announced. I doubt they'd sell many until that happens. Patience Robert, patience.
  21. I can't. I'm still hobbling about on crutches 3 months after breaking my hip.
  22. He just likes to stir things up a bit to get a response does Steve. You should know that by now.
  23. Now that surprises me that you can be hit by shale between the two stands as they are on the straight. I have to go on the 4th bend with the dog but try to be a bit further round towards the starting gate to avoid any flying shale on the bend, I'm too old now to be dodging shale and missing half of the action hiding behind my programme board.
  24. Good question. I should think each promotion will stick with their own prices, which last season were completely different ~ no concessions at Coventry but cheap or free for children under 16. That idea upset a lot of the over 65's and I can't say I noticed any increase in the amount of children there so will they forget this idea now to encourage the older people to travel? After all it is them that have probably retired and more able to make the journey to Leicester in time.
