  1. Really? Can't say I've ever noticed you moaning about anything.
  2. They're even worse on the Coventry ones. Always the same handful of people though, most of whom don't even bother to go but still want to have a moan.
  3. Oh brilliant thanks. I thought I'd inadvertently thrown them away and didn't fancy paying another £30 so wasn't going to go to the re-run.
  4. Then you'll have the season ticket holders moaning that they're losing out again. Can't win whatever they do.
  5. Got to agree with you as he even got beaten by Josh Bates at Coventry recently. I don't think he's been riding as well as when he was at Leicester.
  6. It doesn't and I think weatherwatcher is getting a bit mixed up as the matches are still taking place. The Poole one is now on Bank Holiday Monday (postponed due to bad weather forecast!) and the Kings Lynn one (off due to waterlogged track) on September 10th. The away one at Swindon was changed from August 18th to September 1st. Doesn't look like anything too fishy going on regarding matches at Beaumont Park but hopefully the riders pay will be sorted out quickly and the Kings Lynn fans who want a refund will get their money. Incidentally I've now found two tickets but not sure if these were the July ones. Anyone know what letter was on them? These have got H.
  7. Thanks for your reply. The main thing fans object to is being kept in the dark what is going on and allowed to pay admission when there is obviously no chance of the match going ahead. In this case it's even worse because some Kings Lynn fans are having problems getting a refund weeks afterwards. Unlucky for me I think I must have thrown our two tickets away as I can't find them so that's £30 the promotion can have.
  8. So what exactly would you like them to say about the rules that don't allow a facility for KK, Bomber's broken ribs or Bates illness?
  9. Oh gawd! Will one of you just give up so we can have some peace.
  10. Well, every cloud has a silver lining. I don't really mind that we lost now.
  11. Why is a visiting team allowed to dictate how a track is prepared, especially with the track staff knowing what the outcome will be?
  12. What's so funny? It's damn annoying sitting at home knowing I could be at Beaumont Park watching some Speedway. The season is short enough anyway. So why not give that as the reason. Can't stand lies and who's to say there will be a bigger attendance on Bank Holiday Monday when people might have already made other plans? I know of two people already who can't go. Really? Very strange that when I only live a mile away. Must have been right over the stadium which means absolutely nothing unless it was at Beaumont Park, which it wasn't.
  13. So this match was called off yesterday morning due to the 'terrible weather forecast' and while I should now be making my way there I'm sat at home looking out of the window at blue skies and sunshine. It's been the same all day too but VERY windy, which should have helped to dry the track out from yesterday morning's rain. Surely it would have been better to make a decision on the actual day of the match whether to go ahead or not as it wasn't due to start until 8pm anyway?
  14. Yes, that's the problem ~ that nobody cares any more. Pay for a Speedway match, don't see one but have difficulty getting a refund. Nice attitude to have. Saturday September 10th 7.30pm.
  15. I'm more interested in the other E.L. track as having to miss Coventry last night I would have liked my Speedway fix tonight. So far today it's been sunny and very windy so perfect drying conditions but the match was called off early yesterday morning. Mind you it will probably get the promotion in Poole's good books.
  16. I'm sure it would and look what's happened at Belle Vue trying to get their meeting on.
  17. I won't be leaving until 7pm so I'll have an even better idea whether it's worth going or not. I'm sure Shale Searcher or Weatherwatcher will keep you up to date but if not I'll stick my head out of the window and let you know what's happening.
  18. Might have to dig out my old Red/Yellow scarf for this one if the Moths haven't got it.
  19. My preference would be for Belle Vue too but it's more than likely going to be Poole.....again. Zzzzzzz.
  20. Agree but I also hope he doesn't get the EL Champions medal for Wolves. (That should get Stevebrum on here.)
  21. I've only been to Eastbourne once and quite a long time ago too. Not many Speedway related things stick in my memory but I do recall Coventry won by one point. Afraid I don't travel too far away these days and Peterborough is about my limit, unless we are on holiday somewhere near a track. Typically when we were near Buxton recently there was no meeting on the Sunday but when we got home they were riding against Coventry. Bah!
  22. Doesn't need to as he's back on line now. Probably got his fingers taped together though so he can't comment on the latest Tai news.
  23. I think fliss44 may know all about what happened in 2010. In fact she was probably there and saw it all first hand.
