Every home team has a short season though surely with only 14 EL matches, although there might be an extra one or two if reaching the play-offs. No-one is interested in challenge matches anymore so they are very rarely held and there's only usually one testimonial, if that. Bomber's turn this year and very enjoyable it was too.

It just seems such a short Speedway season these days with so few matches and long gaps between them ~ after this week just 4 left at Brandon and only 2 at Leicester.

Mick is quoted as saying he wants a 5 year contract and is not interested in a track share with Birmingham or Leicester so it's not going to happen is it? I can't see the owners willing to lease the stadium out for another 5 years so if my towel has been thrown in then I'm just being realistic but I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong.

Judging by your last prediction on the Coventry v Kings Lynn match ~ Coventry have to be really bad to get beaten by KL!! Coventry to win by 8-10 pts for me. ~ I think you'll be wrong with this one as well. Pedersen against our reserves will be a doddle unfortunately.

Fame at last. As the riders line up for each race we can clearly be seen on the 4th bend ~ my friend Robert, two Kings Lynn friends and Lucy. Well, you won't see much of the dog as she's in her usual position lying down asleep. We moved after heat 5 to the back straight as it was so cold but perhaps we should have stayed where we were to make that bend look more crowded. As it was it just left the man in shorts and the Polish lads with the flags. Now I've watched the video it confirmed my opinion that this was one of the worst matches racing wise this season but the fight back and close final score made it very interesting. Shame Bees didn't quite pull it off in the end. Yes, I've seen it now. Thinking about it those banners/flags on the 4th bend were probably a better idea because the camera was able to pick them up each time the riders lined up. Just a shame the camera didn't zoom in a few times as they've done it enough times when there is a full moon and had some amazing shots of it.

Well, he is doing okay most of the time isn't he which is what I said? I can't check his scores as the website won't load and I can't check the scraps of paper I call my programmes because they get thrown away. At least you are prepared to put some realistic names forward whereas some fans just continue to criticise but never come up with any alternatives. Not impressed with Ulamek myself. I've been expecting Walasek to go back to Leicester, but perhaps not now they've started winning matches. Bech I know nothing about.

So who would you suggest replaces who? Danny and Chris are riding well, as is KK most of the time. Garrity is doing okay but the way he rides is prone to crashing and being out injured. Sarjeant is outclassed when riding in the main team but that's due to the stupid rules. Bates okay at reserve, which leaves Woryna who I think was the biggest mistake in signing. Drop Woryna and who is available to replace him? Ben Barker, Ryan Fisher (Edinburgh ride on Friday's) and would we be any better off?

Not surprising really as Mick was quoted a month or so ago to be disillusioned with the sport. He's not the only one.
