  1. Same at Coventry for the Storm matches. Although they lost last night to Kings Lynn the racing was really good and that's all I'm interested in. It's just a shame that the majority of Bees fans obviously have a preconceived idea that it's not as good as E.L. so won't even give it a try. Wasting your time telling Starman to read posts carefully as he's been told umpteen times before.
  2. What always confuses me is the number of cars compared to the estimated attendance. Where do the people all go because there certainly looked like more than 100 cars there. Anyway, I enjoyed this match much more than the Cradley one as the racing was so much better. Well done to all the lads and I hope Liam is okay after his spectacular crash. Anyone know why the M69 was shut after junction 1? Just what I needed as I am the World's worst at finding my way around strange places, especially in the dark. I ended up doing a nice tour around Burbage and Hinckley town centre before eventually finding the A47. Thank goodness the mileometer on the car isn't working any more because I really don't want to know how many I did.
  3. I think that happened at the recent Coventry Storm v Cradley match but I must have not been paying attention so missed it and mucked my programme up. Heat 12 Luke Chessell fell whilst leading on the 3rd or 4th lap, remounted and still beat James Purchase. Mind you that wasn't hard as he had been toddling round all night.
  4. Oh yes. He's said it before. It doesn't make any difference that it was over 30 years ago and the closure of Blackbird Road was nothing at all to do with any subsequent promoters at Coventry. Even Charles Ochiltree, the so called guilty person, was part of Midland Sports Stadiums who also owned West Ham so wasn't acting on his own. Sad that someone could still be so bitter and twisted that they'd be happy to see another track shut down.
  5. Perhaps just as well then that only a very small percentage of fans ever come on here and those who don't are still attending matches happily knowing nothing about the whingeing and moaning that goes on.
  6. Could hardly be anything else really being as he was only guesting and already has a PL club. Great performance though and just confirmed Peterborough only needed a good number 1 rider to inspire the team ~ which they have now got after signing Craig Cook. Onwards and upwards.
  7. The only bit that would work is Leicester dropping back to the Premier League. Coventry riding at Leicester would be a disaster, as would running a team in the National League. Sadly not enough fans are interested in watching NL racing and if they can't be bothered to 'go down the road' to Brandon they certainly wouldn't travel to Leicester.
  8. Downloaded for future reference.
  9. Ah...... you're new presumably? Just wait a while and you may have a different opinion.
  10. I don't for one. Peterborough ride more Sunday meetings than Friday's so it's daft having Friday as their main race night, especially when it stopped Cook from signing for them originally. Glad common sense has prevailed because Panthers need a good number one, as was proved when Kenneth Hansen rode for them on Sunday. What looked on paper to be a convincing win for Sheffield turned out much differently. Agree. I can't get to Peterborough on Friday night's because I'm at Coventry but I'm not sure I would regularly want to do that journey anyway as I have to get from one side of Leicester to the other to pick up the A47. Sunday suits me fine as there is not much traffic and I can also get home at a reasonable time.
  11. In an ideal world everybody would get to the EoES by, say, 7pm. Blimey! I was on my way home then.
  12. 27 miles between the Coventry and Leicester tracks and both are riding tonight so obviously a bit of mutual understanding has taken place here.
  13. Hopefully, but Jason only scored 7 in the Premier League yesterday and Josh Bates 1. Not to worry though because I know they are just saving their best performances for today.
  14. I bet 'Road Block' Filip Sitera would have managed it.
  15. Looks like he has realized a few years before Sandhu did that he's fighting a losing battle.
  16. Looking at the teams on paper I thought it would be a pretty easy win for the Tigers but happy to be proved wrong. Kenneth Hansen was a great guest and seemed to inspire the rest of the team. Really enjoyed it and will be back next Sunday, weather permitting.
  17. They might be fickle but they just quietly stopped going when the team weren't doing well without all the whingeing and moaning on the BSF. For once I agree with Steve Shovlar that Coventry fans are the worst, even more so than Leicester fans and that's saying something. Never mind next year when it's all over they'll have to find something else to moan about. Now there's an idea. I could also sit in my mobility scooter to get even more support. Why haven't I thought of that before.
  18. As I've now got two halves will I be able to get in for nothing on Monday if I cellotape them together?
  19. As some people seem to have a problem at Coventry counting beyond 28 I'd just like to confirm there was a pretty good crowd at the Storm v Cradley match tonight. At a guess I'd say there were at least 350 cars and 11 dogs. Just a shame it wasn't a particularly good match.
  20. Yes, I do otherwise I wouldn't bother driving over from Leicester. Wasn't very good tonight though.
  21. I don't think we need them either. Any members that are just plain annoying usually get singled out ~ no names, no pack drill. We're all adults so can surely be trusted to moderate ourselves without someone being in charge.
