Probably, but I don't think we need to worry too much about that as the only way 5000 Speedway fans would be in the stadium these days would be if the GP ever returned. I was just pointing out the space available all the way round the stadium whereas Monmore Green only uses the home straight so it's hard to judge. Perhaps because it still wouldn't work and the riders would have to come up with a different excuse not to ride here? 8 laps? It wasn't so long ago that riders couldn't even manage to do a few hundred yards after a false start without going back to the pits to top up fuel and sort their bike out so they'd never manage 8 laps.
