Rockets V Somerset Sun 31st July 4pm Double Header
waco replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
In many ways our two young aussies ,Cameron and Rob are similar types of rider ,they give it everything they have got and sometimes it does not work in their favour..But entertaining riders like these are what people pay thier money to watch ,,And with experience usually turn into top class performers.. -

You have to admire Cris,s optimism of every thing Rye?...Seriously though have to agree on some points, and Rye House has been crying out for a winning side for some time now...Next season hopefully.. -
Sunny day time meetings inevitably produce dust, and if your breathing it in it is not good for your health,,Not a fan, give me evening meetings every time..

Raiders V Birmingham Sun 31st July Approx 6-30pm After Rockets
waco replied to waco's topic in National League Speedway
The only people on here who seem to like these marathon double headers at Rye are the away supporters, probably because they are winning. There is nothing like supporting your team that wins away from home,,, I too was very impressed with Jack Smith, great prospect, and Bacon and Shuttleworth(first match) have improved a lot this season..A bent frame for Hume may well have accounted for him getting out of shape a fair bit yesterday.,,Our Rob Branford has improved his gating, he is a battler, and was good to watch in both matches,,Ben Morley had mixed afternoon but a good showing in the premier match with two wins,, -

What can you say, less than half a team aint gonna win nothing.. totally out classed by the best team in the league ..Time between the two meetings way to long..started at4pm finished nearly 9 pm -
Rockets V Somerset Sun 31st July 4pm Double Header
waco replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
5 hours to run the two meetings ,,what a drag ..Rockets middle order, poor, out gated all day... Ed ,robbo, and Ben all solid scores. Rob.Branford battled and was worth more than his 4 points Somerset though were strong from top to bottom and deserved winners.. -

Shads your prediction seems a bit fishy to me especially if all the lads chip! in with a few points.. -

Al3x 200 its on the Rye House website Both Carr and Wilson guest for Birmingham... -
Tough ask for Rockets who have Rob Branford in for the injured Karger,..Somerset are riding high at the moment but we can beat them if every ones on form..,this meeting is the first part of a double header to be followed by Raiders v Birmingham,,Weather looking good for what should be a good afternoons racing at Rye ... Many thanks to Orlov for solving my posting problem
-
Second part of a double header at Rye,,,Birmingham have two heat leader guests,,Liam Carr and Ben Wilson which could make them even stronger,,,Sam Woods returns for the Raiders in place of the injured Hunter...With our very weak bottom end Raiders would do well to keep the score respectable...Lets just hope for some decent racing ...Two tough meetings for Ben Morley and Rob Branford...

Ed,s a great rider when he wants to be....If the money was as stated on here its understandable....All riders have off nights any way....

Whats the Hammers line up ?

With a ridiculous curfew in place (the council sucks) its in every ones interest,, refs ,riders ,management, to show some Urgency ! to get meetings finished on time,, The paying public are being short changed by very bad organisation.,,,,,, It can be done with more effort all round.....

Your not usually that bad a judge Shads.. ...Or were you just joking..? -
Good luck to Buxton with their new signings,,it certainly has not been easy for them this season,,or any season really but they always battle on year after year..
-
I think he is OK
-
Ben has never had a problem staying on the bike it has taken him a while to get where he is now speed wise,,,but falling of when not challenged he does very rarely, in fact he is noted and always has been for being very smooth.....Your comparison with Connor Lock is an insult...
-
From the start of his career Ben Morley has fallen of very little ,he,s been knocked off a few times,,but to compare him to the likes of Connor Lock is ludicrous...
-
They all ride for money,,so they are professionals But the fans should not have to pay to watch riders who are not ready to race and spend most of the night falling off and putting others in danger, causing long delays And i am not refering to Hunter here who had a bad night but has been showing good progress and wish him a swift recovery,,,.is it any wonder the sport is losing fans,,,Most good riders are looking for guest bookings at any time .Certainly Branford and Morley are...
-
Great effort from Raiders top 3 and Mcauley Leek..hope Hunters going to be ok,,the other two we should get shot of,,..complete waste of space..There must be others worth trying....Bet Kent are wishing they had booked the available riders Branford or Morley for theTrophy final, they would have won it..Raiders,,could have won with a little back up tonight..On second thoughts though,Kent are not very good at picking guest riders,,no disrespect to Georgie Wood ,but he is hardly a no1..Bowen is proving a massive loss to Kent
