  1. I wonder if the Czech fans are slagging off their riders and manager? You think GB are crap, the Czechs can't even beat a four man team of second strings.
  2. But he isn't getting paid apparently so the analogy of "do you go to work for the love of it or for the money?" falls down.
  3. Your argument has just fallen apart with that statement SCB. Of course we go to work to pay the bills but if Emil isn't being paid then he must be there for the love of it because he isn't there to pay the bills.
  4. You just need to have it on the dry humour setting that's all. Unless you have one of those cheap senses of humour like BFF's with just the one setting, then you're screwed I'm afraid.
  5. Take a chill pill. The fact that you even had to ask whether it was a tongue in cheek comment or whether I thought you had watched Troy race for Australia and still thought he is British blows my mind. I would have thought it was obvious which one it was.
  6. Neither could I. Batchelor will never be British Champion if you ask me.
  7. The rule is that all riders must make a bona fide attempt to race. Yet we've seen it happen where riders used to drop points in GPs and World Championship rounds to get a better draw in the next heat/meeting.
  8. Other than coming within a whisker of being World Champion in 1994.
  9. I think Sky should sign up Elliott from updates as their new commentator. He'd be great. Holder takes the lead. Bjerre takes the lead. Pedersen takes the lead. Jonsson takes the lead. Crump takes the lead. You get the picture.
  10. I don't sympathize with him at all. He has a job to do - entertain the fans and do his best for his country - he should turn up and do what's right. Hancock still turns out for a hopeless USA team who have no chance of even getting to the last 8. Two words. Pride & loyalty. Emil has neither if he doesn't turn up.
  11. The interview with Crump out on the track sounded to me like he was full of praise for the track, all be it in his understated manner. Yes, pre-meeting he was a bit off with Mr. Green but to be honest, Green was making a fool of himself. He knows riders are very nervous before the start and don't need any distractions yet he still kept bounding in to their pit areas while crews were trying to work and riders were trying to focus. What did he expect? Whenever I'm in the pits with any rider pre-meeting I know when to leave them be, you can tell from their body language when it's time to just let them get in the zone and not be hassled. And with a GP that is zone is even more intensified.
  12. The riders know what they are talking about. If they say the track is good, how do supporters know better?
  13. Josh Auty, Ed Kennett, Ben Barker maybe, hmm.. I'm struggling after that.
  14. You can't see a long term future in GPs for Jonsson? Believe it or not he's been in the GPs since 2001. I think ten years counts as long term.
  15. Sometimes you just have to laugh at posts like this. Ridiculous.
  16. That's the Scottish for you. Wouldn't give a door a bang.
  17. It didn't come over too well on the 10" portable, even with the aerial hanging out of the window. Still, an enjoyable meeting and fair play to all the riders for battling through the snow storm. Congratulations to the rider in light grey on winning the final, whoever he was.
