  1. Is it mathematically impossible then? I've read a few times wolves may sneak in but nothing concrete.
  2. A) he earned his rightful place in the GP therefore yes, he can. B) you do realise why he's not been in the GPs this year right? Show some compassion.
  3. Very rare I comment in here any more but tonight was the first time since speedway first came to sky way back in the day that I switched a meeting off before it ended. What an absolute s**t show that was. On the strength of tonight alone I'd imagine BT Sport are seriously considering their options. A valid point was made tonight by my dad (who I watch all televised meetings with) - besides the GPs, has there actually been an exciting meeting on bt sport this year?
  4. I was lucky enough to take part in a training school held by Ivan at Newport years back - was a true professional and made sure all that were a part of it received equal and immense instruction. A true professional and a massive shame that he's passed. The one thing I remember him saying (and I'll never forget) was "give the rider next to you a kick heading into the first corner, it'll put them off and will give you an advantage". Old school to the end RIP Ivan. Massive loss to speedway.
  5. It was totally NKI's fault but you can't help but feel for him when Pedersen took his nose off earlier in the race
  6. I believe he's using the tried and tested 'throwing muck at the wall to see what sticks' method.
  7. Can almost see the tweet from Harris already. "Just couldn't get the speed right tonight, will get it right next time"
  8. If I was handed free entry I'd certainly go more, not sure if 2 seasons of (ahem) conference league racing count but I'll take it if it's going spare haha!
  9. A recent press release by the BSPA says they blocked the move because both home tracks share a race night. I can't help but think there's something fishy about this as it's only 3 clashes. It doesn't add up.
  10. For somebody such as myself BT Sport is actually a very hard commodity to come by - it is this that irks me the most and for that I can sympathise with some of the folks who 'steal' the feed. I personally have Sky broadband, but don't have Sky TV as it's overpriced, plus I barely watch TV anyway. I am not allowed to simply purchase a day pass to watch BT sport as I'd need a Sky tv or BT broadband package for that. They really need to think of a way around this as I had to watch the youtube stream in the end, which I guarantee won't be available in the UK for the next GP. I'll simply have to resort to begging to watch it around a friends house or simply watch it illegally, and that's not acceptable whichever way you look at it!
  11. As mentioned earlier the pictures we saw are all a part of BSI's feed which all networks around the world share. The only thing BT sport provide is a channel to watch it on and the cushty studio shots/conversations with Natalie and Scott. BT Sport will provide the feed at the Millennium Stadium, as Eurosport did last year. That's when we will see what BT Sport will bring to speedway.
  12. A touch late but if you want to watch it on youtube simply install the following link in google chrome and it will play beautifully. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/unlimited-free-vpn-hola/gkojfkhlekighikafcpjkiklfbnlmeio?hl=en Side note - it doesn't appear to be a BT Sport stream as I haven't seen them cut back to the studio yet, but it's HD so who can argue?
  13. One hopes that Kasprzak doesn't make the top 8, and that nobody is ruled out of next year through injuries. Really can't be doing with seeing Bomber saying 'bad one for me tonight, will try to sort it out for next one' every 2 weeks. In other news, congrats to Smolinski, he deserves the qualification.
  14. Yeah I understand your points now and you're right, I withdraw the previous statement. How about 4, 2, 1 in the final perhaps? 1 extra point isn't' much but in the grand scheme of things could be a lot.
  15. The only thing I'd suggest is that riders should get an extra point in the final, so the points scoring should go 4, 3, 2, 1. It would give a bonus to the riders making the final with an extra incentive to win it. Would be enough of a bonus to spice the title race up but would also give a slight reward for those who make the final but can't make an impression.
  16. Eurosport and Sky are happy with the commentating presented by Pearson/Tatum, otherwise they would have done something a long time ago. They have a clear idea on what they want from them. They have a good production team and anything that they're not a fan of will be nipped in the bud very quickly. I'm sorry to say this but lump it or leave it. If you've got any issues then speak to Eurosport/Sky direct.
  17. Can't help but think that these 2 things are entirely unrelated and would not constitute as 'double standards'. You have a valid point that both carry a very heavy weight with regards to regulation, but they are chalk and cheese. No double standards here at all.
  18. One thing I am enjoying though is how much certain riders got a lot of stick pre-season suggesting that they would struggle, and that's the complete opposite of what's happened! Ace!
  19. Oh for god's sake - it's easy as hell to compare any job to that of a genuine grafter like someone in the army/police/fire service. I work in an office but can't be criticised because it's "easy" compared to that of our armed forces. A couple of the points I've seen on here now are just plain ridiculous when trying to ridicule Pearson and Tatum. I've said it countless times, just watch it with the sound off, or quite simply don't watch it at all. Whilst I'm on the subject of people being out of order... to the absolute creature who tried to email Pearson just to call him a t**t, please sir, run with scissors.
