Glasgow v Edinburgh CL 16/9/23 @19-30
Marksman replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That is one of the poorest Champ line ups I’ve seen for a while. I’d even back the Comets or other top NDL sides to beat them! -
Premier Greyhound Racing schedule that was out on Monday states that they’ll be running weekly racing on a Wednesday evening, is this new news or has it been known for a while that the Brummies have lost their Wednesday race night? https://premiergreyhoundracing.co.uk/racing/

No Luke Crang today, R/R at No. 5. But Luke Harrison is back and rides at No. 8!

Yeah, it was mentioned at the meet the riders event that 2 burger vans and a marquee serving drink I believe, I was told a band will be on live in the marquee after the meeting, but haven’t seen anything confirmed on that!

Online tickets are being looked into, but not ready for this weeks meeting. I believe there are issues around booking fees

Wolves v Aces Cup 2nd leg 10/4
Marksman replied to noaksey's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably stating the obvious here but almost every time I watch the Premiership I can’t help think that the make up of most of the tracks make it awful to watch. We can get all the top riders we want over here, but on these tracks it will still be boring to watch. Was the same last week at Sheffield, far too narrow, and the leader just clears off -
Josh McDonald is just getting back to fitness post surgery, maybe Scunny’s bumpy track isn’t the best place to come back

Cheers, found it on his Twitter page

Heard bikes going round today, it’s getting close!

PCMT 20th march
Marksman replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
It was always going to be off if you'd checked the Met Office radar, surprised they didn't just call it off earlier. It's forecast heavy rain of upto 8mm of rain per hour from 6pm all night, impossible to start in that. The radar has showed it clear all day which it has been. -

Connor Bailey has also signed for Redcar for 2023. http://www.redcar-speedway.com/2023/03/02/bears-bailed-out-after-massive-injury-blow-to-shanes/ Remarkably only 1 fixture clash that I can see, will miss Oxford away on Weds 16th August as Redcar are at Poole.

Can't tell if that's a joke or not The bigger clash is with the Warsaw SGP, of which I and probably some others will be in Poland for! Disappointed to miss the first league meeting, but hopefully the opening meeting will be something earlier, I saw Mid April suggested

https://britishspeedway.co.uk/major-events/comets-stage-u21-qualifier/ COMETS STAGE U21 QUALIFIER SATURDAY, JANUARY 21, 2023 WORKINGTON are to stage the 2023 British Under-21 Qualifier, with the meeting set for Sunday May 28. The new Northside venue takes on the event which has been run at Mildenhall over the past two seasons, and British Youth boss Neil Vatcher has thanked the Comets’ management team of Andrew Bain and James Denham for their assistance. Vatcher said: “It has not been easy juggling the fixtures to make sure that the Qualifier has a full line-up without riders missing their club fixtures, so I am really pleased that this has been arranged on a day when there are no other fixtures. “With the way Workington have built their team for the 2023 season full of young British riders, they are sure to have a large representation on the day, which will be great for the home support.” The full line-up and the seeded riders for the British Under-21 Final will be announced at the Young Lions presentation event taking place at the Nuneaton Speedway Supporters Club on Saturday February 11.

I know what you’re saying, every 2 weeks would be just fine It’s just when you go 6 weeks without a meeting due to postponements and the fixture schedule being imbalanced etc. People can start to lose interest
