  1. It can be good on occasions. My feeling is that if the track were made ‘good’, Poole would romp away to even bigger home wins.
  2. I see the Isle of Wight are going to run again soon (and maybe Mildenhall as well). Assuming Ashton’s injury problem has or soon will be resolved, would there be value in him getting back to racing at one of those venues where he could rebuild lost confidence in a less pressurised environment?
  3. Doubt Peter Kidemand will be riding as their is a Danish fixture for Fjelstad that night.
  4. From what date will Victor be given a revised average.
  5. I think the loss of Birmingham and the rumoured loss of Oxford and Sheffield from the Premiership at the end of this season will adversely impact Poole’s (as yet unconfirmed but likely) desire to run a 2026 team with Cairns, Rushen and Bailey. Surely some drastic restructuring will be forced onto British speedway for next year with an equalisation amongst all those sides who opt in.
  6. It’s a done deal already. Craig Boyce connection. Been staying with Middlo before SGP3 yesterday. Was at Poole last Wednesday watching on.
  7. Why park the presenters podium and line marking equipment ahead of the starting pole cushion on the inside? A rider would clatter that lot without protection before reaching the cushion if worst came to worst. Wouldn’t it be better to go behind the pole on the first bend side?
  8. NK definitely missing on 28th. Clash with Danish league fixture which has priority so expecting a top quality guest. Next Saturday needs clarification. If JT is needed at Glasgow for SGP2, then a guest up to his average + 5% would be correct. Next Saturday for NK, to us lay men, is unclear. You would hope that he would be at Plymouth as that fixture has been in the calendar from the off and definitely before any Polish involvement. If he prioritises Poland, who knows?
  9. No point if the club are closing at the end of this year……….if rumours are to be believed.
  10. Some advice please. What is the best way to get back to the Holiday Inn, Salford Quays after Monday meetings at the NSS? Cheers.
  11. Well done Joe on being named as a reserve for the SGP2 qualifier at Glasgow on May 24……although how the heck Boughen gets a full ride goodness only knows. Downside is that Joe will probably have to miss the home meeting that night against Poole in the cup.
  12. They’ll have to do it without Lasse who has been called up for international duty. One of the Kennedy’s from Scunny lined up to guest.
  13. Wonder how the £25k cost will be financed?
  14. http://www.scbgb.co.uk/news.php?extend.206.1 Am I reading this right. Only 4 helmet makes/models permitted for FIM events in 2026 to be extended to British Speedway in 2027?
  15. Has Jody Scott been mentioned as the temporary number 7?
  16. I see on Facebook that the supporters club have a quiz planned for 15 January. Full team should be known by then. Should generate some lively discussion between questions.
  17. For what it’s worth, recent posts on Facebook in the past couple of days reveal that Ablitt and Trigger are yet to find Championship places in 2025.
  18. What is the visa situation for the Kennedy boys?
  19. Home for Kyle is now Marlborough in Wiltshire.
  20. Supporters rider of the season 2024. Vote in this link before 1 November. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/V8BKFWW
  21. Take this for what it is I.e. simple gossip, but it would appear that the move to track both Thompson twins has broken down as a result of the miscalculation of averages and the Tigers are having to revisit their plans.
  22. Scotty’s X-ray shows a nasty break so best wishes to him for a trouble free and speedy recovery. How will the Cheetahs cover his absence in leg 2? Possibly RR. Everyone would be eligible to take a ride. Might want to keep it in house rather than enlist a guest to ride in meeting that looks like a dead rubber? Out of interest who might be available to guest?
  23. Maybe in your view however I think these two meetings have plenty to offer especially if the Cheetah’s can stay in touch after Wednesday. Pirates will undoubtedly have to prepare to be met with a hostile home fan base and a team desperate to sign off in style and will need all of Ford and Middleditch’s experience to keep them calm, focused and on task. I’m favouring Poole, but only just.
  24. Currently both teams are unchanged although Oxford switch Gilks to 2 with Heeps to 4.
