I’ve seen Edinburgh and Berwick mentioned. Berwick may be a problem if he wants to continue in Poland as that would be a dash to an airport for an early flight. As a former Edinburgh rider, that may have more appeal.

Maybe Bomber, Howarth, Kemp, Allen to start. Pirates will need to replace Thompson who’s in the U19 at Brum so maybe Complin.

Glad you had a good evening. This meeting was a bit short notice but will try to get to the next one. I’ve seen in other places that fund raising schemes (pledges) have been planned but money is not being collected until after the BSPL AGM so that to me says 2024 is still uncertain. Sure hope Mark can get things sorted.

Kyle Howarth was down to ride last Wednesday. Can’t see any reason why it would change. Biggest problem for Poole is the awful weather forecast.

Unless Birmingham have booked him already.

My prediction of a banana skin well off beam with Charles Wright missing. Enjoyable meeting. Track good. Plenty of passing and close racing. Good to hear the fallers are ok. Fantastic to see and hear Darcy during the meeting and afterwards in the press conference room where the presenter (Rob?) gave him the freedom to open up and talk about his current European visit, his current relationship with Chris Holder, his Speedway involvement in Oz and his views on the Cook brothers. Fascinating stuff.

It was very interesting to see Joe’s dad offering the meeting sponsors an opportunity to sit on Joe’s bike for photos, even moving it out of the pit bay to make it easier for snaps. Then joining the recovery team for Kyle Newman’s bike after the heat 10 crash and finally having what looked like a serious chat with Matt Ford towards the end of the meeting. All coincidences of course.

This is a potential banana skin for Poole. Over confident after a super heat away win at Redcar. Bears on a good run which is likely to be extended at Plymouth on Tuesday evening. Worrall’s focus now elsewhere. Thompson an unknown at number 7. An away win wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.
