  1. Problem with that, is some clubs can only ride once a week & may already be racing the next two weeks. Could say they have to race on their next available race day? Agree with the second part, I'm so used to seeing guests, not racing because of riders missing? Well that's just par for the course
  2. Must be more entertaining than either club being thrashed by Poole / Oxford?
  3. I think matches should have a set amount of points, so if they have to keep the "stupid heat" I'd make the scoring 3(2-1)0. But remember last year matches didn't always have the same points gained. Home wins could be 3-1 or 3-0, away wins could be 0-3 or 0-4
  4. Don't be daft, the promoter's never put that much thought into rules. They'll come up with an idea to fix a problem, blissfully unaware it creates 2 new problems
  5. But remember they don't have to be good now, just good when they play-offs start
  6. That's true, if Lynn expect to lose 60-30, then using r/r at 2 is sensible, helps avoid a drubbing. But if they expect it to be close, then not helping them!
  7. I can't believe Lynn are putting r/r at 2 (well I can because they've done it before) as this means Lambert will get his extra ride in heat 8 against Hume & Boughen! Is that not a waste of a ride of their top man? Could another Lynn rider not win heat 8, then Lambert beat heat leaders in his extra outing?
  8. My point is, Peterborough look favourites. So Sheffield's top riders need to beat Panthers best men as often as possible, so I'd want Holder & Musielak in heat 13. I also don't feel Howarth / Pickering looks a weak middle order pairing. It may not have worked, we'll never know!
  9. Just thinking outside of the box & trying to work out how to get the bonus point. I agree Peterborough look strong now with their changes & expect a 10+ win for them.
  10. Graduated from the scheme is a better explanation for it. He improved & got a spot in their top 6. That's a ringing endorsement for the RS system in my view
  11. I don't think the rules allowed Lambert to sign, but the rules were so poorly written Belle Vue were able to use him. That's the fault of the BSPL, not Belle Vue!
  12. They always use a riders most recent average, Vissing has a 2023 Champ ave, so a conversion for that is used.
  13. I'd have put Holder at 2, to take the r/r in heat 13, plus counters Harris in heat 8?
  14. When Sheffield made their latest change, it only fitted using Woffy's average, not Holder's. So at that point Holder can't come back in. Now the transfer window has passed can't sign anyone else.
  15. Looking at the September averages, Plymouth look to be far weaker. Worrall now above Barker in the averages, so if r/r for Barker, Howarth doesn't get an extra ride. Dan T now above Gilkes, so if using r/r for Gilkes, guest for Barker doesn't get an extra ride. Plymouth certainly need their injured riders back to avoid the wooden spoon imo
  16. If I was Killeen, I'd have told Oxford to stuff it! Even if he averages over 2.00 he's very likely to find another Championship club. I'd even be tempted to walk out of the Oxford NL side, while I was on a 3.00 average.
  17. What about Thomsen or Clegg who are based in this country?
  18. Pretty embarrassing line ups by a couple of clubs. For Edinburgh's point of view there must have been doubt over Cook as he's missed quite a few meetings recently. This is no dig on Cook, as I can fully understand why. But I can't imagine any club going into a play-off final with a back up if they had riders possible returning from injury, so why should the pairs be any different?
  19. It makes total sense to do what keeps the club as a whole alive, dropping out of the NL doesn't mean they are moving away from developing new riders, can still take part in the NJL for example. But I do question mentioning a "sporadic fixtures list" as part of the issue, they've ridden several double headers, often with two separate opposition teams, whose fans would likely have no interest in paying extra to watch their own team. If they wanted a more complete fixture list, don't run double headers.
  20. Being the day before Cardiff, it has to be somewhere nearby(ish) but if it was elsewhere at another time, I'd totally agree with the Workington suggestion.
  21. On Nicholls form, be passed by him is no big surprise
