Wolverhampton v Ipswich 04 July
szkocjasid replied to Roger Jacobs's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The problem with a rider having to "rest" after pulling out of a fixture, is that it means more guests being needed! Fans already complain that too many guests are used - with a rule like that a club would be forced to use a guest, while a rider, who's been declared fit, wants to ride! -

3.7.2022 - Scorpions v Edinburgh plus BYC
szkocjasid replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Even with a fit Masters, Monarchs may not have got a point! -
Think you're being overly hard on Jorgensen, he's averaging 5.78 (6.52) this year, which is the highest 2022 ave for any current reserve!

Monarchs vs Scorpions 1st July 7.30pm
szkocjasid replied to gmuncie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
All Monarchs need to do is win 49-41 & I can't see them failing that. Just need 13 3-3s along with 5-1s from Masters & Pickering in heats 13/15! -
Poole Pirates Vs Berwick Bandits 29/6/22
szkocjasid replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not when you consider Poole are doing better than Edinburgh, who have a strong top 2 & used 8 points for their reserves positions compared to the 5.5 points Poole used up. Oxford worse off with similar team planning, Nicholls & Batchelor looked a strong top 2 (before going downhill) & they also used up 8 points for the reserve positions! -

Not sure the point you're making, if you sign 3 top riders you're bound to need a 2.00 rider at the bottom. Conversely if you have a non-scoring 2.00 rider in your team, you need a strong top end to cover him! -
I would've made the track 1m bigger than Glasgow, just so they could say "we're bigger than Glasgow" lol! If worse comes to worse & track & stadium won't be ready for Apr 2023, they could always enter into the NL only, with only 8 home meetings needed (approx) could start the season in June / July?

My question is still they same, why not race the KOC tie then? -

Fri July 8th has been listed as Scunthorpe vs TBC for a while now. Why not race the KOC leg 2 vs Leicester on that date? -
Plymouth Gladiators 2022

Surely the season won't go to the end of October, but with Speedway you can never be sure! -
I didn't see the match, but Worrall only lost to Wolves top 5 (who all have higher aves than him) & beat their reserves, plus beat Douglas once. So he's done what's expected of a 5.5 rider!

Plymouth Gladiators 2022
szkocjasid replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Actually they can do that this season (not saying I agree with it) as so many clubs have gaps in the fixture list & plenty of spare dates available (although less for clubs with NL teams). -
Leicester Lions 2022 Line up

That makes no sense, the outgoing riders average doesn't matter if making multiple changes to fit under 42.00 -
Shanes replaced the injured Kinsley. Berwick could be miffed at having to drop Flint, only for rule to change after one season! Could've cost them the league title last year.
-
Those averages for Iversen & Lawson are based on their last 18 matches. For July the rolling averages will be for their last 16 matches, so will change a little!
-
I've had a head injury previously & was basically told to do nothing! I guess Nicholls is "better" and just waiting to be allowed to race again?
-
Surprised he's allowed to fly in that case?
-
It makes sense for number 8s to be allowed to race in the Champ, otherwise riders like Dan & Joe Thompson would be giving up a full season of NL racing for potentially a couple of Prem fixtures. If a rising star is riding every week in the Prem & Champ do they still need to be racing in the NL though? However if only number 8s were allowed to "treble-up", King's Lynn could have listed Mulford as their RS & Edwards as their number 8 to allow Edwards to continue at NL. Could still pick Edwards every week ahead of Mulford - so if the rule is easily avoided - no point in having it!
-
I'm not sure that removing the rule is learning from previous errors. Last year Flint was going so well in Champ & NL he deserved a call up, so no longer needed the NL to improve as a rider. I'd say it's a similar situation for Edwards, if he's good enough for the Prem, shouldn't be in the NL in my view.

No, foreign riders can't fall below 4.00, so Lasse would drop to a 4.00 ave after his next match, pushing Sarjeant into the top 5.
