  1. Having heat 8 protected is pointless, unless your weakest reserve is at number 7! For example within the rules heat 8 could've consisted of Rory Schlein & Ryan Douglas vs Hans Andersen & Bjarne Pedersen / Chris Harris / Scott Nicholls! Does that heat need protecting?
  2. With all 6 Prem clubs racing a guest would have to be from the Champ?
  3. With such a solid team, there's no reason not to use r/r for Ostergaard!
  4. There's a few options to replace Bates: James Shanes, Dan Thompson, Alfie Bowtell, Nathan Greaves, Danyon Hume & Connor Bailey
  5. It's easy to say with hindsight, but could've use Hans more earlier on to spread out his races! However by putting your weakest reserve at 6 & giving him the hard races (after heat 2) it limits your options for "tactical" reserve changes!
  6. It'd be risky to hold a grudge as there's only 6 clubs to race for in the Prem!
  7. I think it's a shame James Shane's hasn't been handed Sheffield's "rising star" berth, at his age / experience it must be his last season on the list?
  8. Looking at the stats, Kemp is a NL rider at home & a 3rd heat leader away!
  9. I'd go with: Home 1) Ulrich Ostergaard (r/r) 2) Chris Harris 3) Scott Nicholls 4) Michael P Toft 5) Bjarne Pedersen 6) Hans Andersen 7) Jordan Palin Away 1) Ulrich Ostergaard (r/r) 2) Michael P Toft 3) Scott Nicholls 4) Bjarne Pedersen 5) Chris Harris 6) Hans Andersen 7) Jordan Palin
  10. My unofficial "weighted" averages Sam Masters 9.77 - 10.57 - 10.08 Jack Holder 10.67 - 8.00 - 9.56 Richard Lawson 9.85 - 8.46 - 9.31 Dan Bewley 8.71 - 9.10 - 8.98 Nick Morris 9.06 - 7.85 - 8.52 Rory Schlein 9.22 - 7.62 - 8.45 Bjarne Pedersen 8.56 - 7.30 - 8.07 Ulrich Ostergaard 8.50 - 7.58 - 8.00 Hans Andersen 8.00 - 8.00 - 8.00 Luke Becker 8.44 - 7.62 - 8.00
  11. I think Leicester are stronger than Edinburgh. If you can beat Leicester home & away, shouldn't fear any other team!
  12. This was an attempt at "weighted averages" for example, heat 2 in the Prem I counted for Championship aves & heat 13/15 in Champ I counted for Premiership aves!
  13. I don't understand why number 2 is considered a tough position, to me it's no different from 3 or 4! 1&5 are the tough positions!
  14. Surely Brennan must be able to guest for Wells, 4* equating to a 4.00 ave?
  15. I tried to work a system for averages taking into account easier vs harder races & these are my stats: Home / Away / Overall Sam Masters 11.43 - 9.88 - 10.74 Bjarne Pedersen 9.78 - 10.80 - 10.14 Craig Cook 9.47 - 10.89 - 9.33 - 10.00 Scott Nicholls 10.20 - 9.71 - 9.92 Danny King 10.13 - 9.78 - 9.90 Nick Morris 10.36 - 9.09 - 9.73 Chris Harris 8.80 - 10.50 - 9.68 Steve Worrall 10.72 - 8.73 - 9.59 Josh Pickering 9.68 - 9.33 - 9.53 Richie Worrall 8.96 - 10.08 - 9.52
  16. If there were riders on 8 + 5 averages available, it'd be a bad move to sign an 11.1 rider who won't hit that figure! But there wasn't many options out there!
  17. Hurry was scoring less than 3 points a match & r/r less than 4 points a match, so Batchelor doesn't need to score 12 points a match to strengthen Kent! If he gets an 8.00 ave Kent will be stronger!
  18. I don't feel the bottom end has considerably weakened. Even if it is weakened, as Hurry & r/r weren't scoring much, so Bachelor can match their scores & anything Mulford scores will be a bonus!
  19. Does he still ride in Poland? That would mean he rides in Poland, Sweden & Britain (×2)
  20. Kinda surprised Kent didn't give him a shot on place of Bacon or Hurry?
  21. The gap between NL & Champ has never been bigger! A rider like Jack Smith guests for Belle Vue twice & hardly dropped a point, but has he even scored 1 point for Plymouth since signing for them? As the NL is so weak you can't even say getting a 9.5 ave means you're ready to compete at Championship level!
