I didn't expect to win but I thought we'd do better than that ,but I guess circumstances can change losing KD definitely didn't help

Berwick vs Sheffield... 18th May
DSC67 replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I’d say Berwick can count themselves lucky to get a win last night, at one point in the meeting it looked like they where headed for a comfortable victory , credit has to go to Sheffield for a good comeback especially after losing riders and using their T/S . With the lack of regular meetings perhaps moving to fortnightly racing would help , at least people would be able to get into the habit of attending. -
I'd guess the admission prices were set a a level which the club believed they needed to break even

The football club don't own the stadium , the council own it , the fans trust own the lease . I can't see the pitch dimensions changing for the Lowland League

When they lowered the admission price there was no significant increase in the crow levels, making it cheaper didn't work then and I doubt it would work now

There will be live coverage of this match on BBC West Midlands -
I thought that was the end of season competition for the teams not in the top half of the league,( The Young Shield ? ) Comets won the meeting on what was a very wet night , as I remember Jason Doyle guested for Berwick in the earlier rounds but had to go home and missed the final

I thought it was the other way around
-
R/ R for Jye , and Dany not likely to pick up many points , looks like a home win. If Berwick can grab a point it would be a good performance

Any news on Berwick's guest ? Will Jye be riding ?

Edinburgh v Glasgow 26/4/19 @7.30pm
DSC67 replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
This is why I dislike this competition. It's starts at the beginning of the season and it's usually October by the time the final gets raced , absolute farce IMHO it should be scrapped and teams should race each other twice home and away . -
I suggested THEO , ( who I'd pick every time given the choice between the two ) as our next away match is at Edinburgh and he's an ex Monarch added to the fact he rode well for us last season when he came in . But if it's Jye's intention to be back by then it's irrelevant anyway .

Good news then , the gap week will come in handy
