  1. Barker's score tonight looks ok to me compared to some of his teammates
  2. Has anyone got the heat times for the NJL meeting last night ?
  3. A convincing home win to finish the regular season off with , decent performances from all the Berwick riders with all of them taking a win at some point in the meeting . Scott Nicholls was a a class apart , easily the best visiting rider this season apart from that there was not much help for him from his teammates. Will we see any more action at Shielfield this season ? Only time will tell it felt a bit strange walking out last night not knowing weather or not we'll be back or not , hopefully we can pick something up on the road , (Armadale I'd say is probably our best chance of a point IMHO ) and few other results go our way and we will be back .
  4. Gone but never forgotten , R.I.P. Ronnie Moore
  5. A good 2 points last night keeps us in the hunt , obviously we can only control the meetings we are involved with so we need a win tonight and decent performances in our remaining fixtures after that we can only hope for the teams behind us to drop points .
  6. Poor performances from their guests looks like it may have cost The Tigers a point here
  7. I'm looking forward to seeing Scotty Nicholls . Berwick should manage to win I'd say hopefully we can grab all the points and build on last nights result need to keep in front of the chasing pack
  8. Looks like Spud was trying the Thomas Gollob method of riding a speedway bike
  9. Good to se NP back on the top spot again. There was some decent racing in the later stages . As for wildcard picks I'd say as he's this years champ Doyle probably deserves one , I can't see Holder , Hancock or Nicki getting one though
  10. Yes , as do Tennis players , they have to inform the authorities of their movements and make themselves available for testin , missing a certain number of tests will result in a ban
  11. Was a really good meeting last night, first time I've been at Ashfield since the redevelopment and I have to say I was impressed Speee could do with a few more facilities like this .The photos show just how alarming the accident looked from my position on the back straight. I'm amazed he's managed to escape with just a minor injuries. In most other sports there'd be no chance of him competing tonight but this is speedway and the guys are a special breed .
  12. As long as the racing is good and the beer's cold I'll be happy win lose or draw
  13. It's at the referees discretion weather or not he penalises the remaining rider , if he decides his teammate was trying to gain an advantage by staying down
  14. I thought I read that next years date will be announced tomorrow and that those who bought tickets for this years GP will be given priority when buying tickets for next year
  15. I didn't realise the GP challenge was that night , Ricky Wells if he's available would be a good choice
  16. After last weeks loss at hom to Workington a win was important . This was much more comfortable win than I had expected to be honest, The Scorpions chances not helped by an awful performance from Nico Covatti , probably the worst showing from a guest as I've seen in a long time , poor return at reserve didn't help too l hope its nothing too serious for Danny Phillips looked like a fairly heafty impact . Josh Auty gave 100% as usual and is always good to watch at Berwick, looks like Stevie Worrall going to need a few more meetings until he gets back to 100% fitness . Everyone in The Bandits line up picked up at least a paid win and only 2 last places helped the cause good to see Aaron looking fast . The Tigers next up at Shielfield which I'm sure will be a much harder proposition especially with their new line up .
  17. That's not always true , plenty riders have had problems getting paid riding in Sweden and Poland
  18. As I've said elsewhere not only does it hopefully hook the youngsters it's also an incentive for the parents if the kids get in free helps to cover the other costs of going to a meeting
  19. Biggest problem is though how do you attract them once they turn 16 and have to pay . You need to get their mates hooked as well I'd say , if their pals are going they'll want to go too
  20. Kids go free at Berwick every week have done for ages
  21. Are we talking about the same Ritchie Worrall that the Glasgow fans have been criticising al season ?
