  1. Just the one? Honestly can’t take any of this seriously the rules are so flaky and mostly get ignored/bent anyway.
  2. If that’s the case then apologies for the sarcasm. Quickly delete your post and I’ll do likewise before he sees it
  3. And what is the criteria for that? 4.5 average or over? Over 5? Or any other random figure they’re seemingly plucking out of their @rses? Oh apologies by the way for the “typical speedway reply”. I’ll try to do better in future.
  4. There’s absolutely no way they can give one rider who was in the RS scheme last year a 25% reduction but not others. The criteria for getting in the scheme in the first place is often a cause for debate, but it simply has to be all of them or none of them getting a reduction when they hop out of it.
  5. The days of programme buying have been dwindling for many years. Still get the old stalwarts and traditionalists with their trusty old programme board and biro of course, but they seem to be getting less and less in number with each year that passes.
  6. Yep pretty sure you’ve got this one wrong Falcon.
  7. Totally disagree. I’d wager there’s more that don’t than do..
  8. Agree on the Programme bit. I’ve never brought one in 40 years of attending so the Ipswich ticket for me is better value than the Lynn one as it’s a tenna cheaper at £250 instead of £260. But for those fans that buying a programme every week is essential then the Lynn season ticket is excellent value for them.
  9. If we’re relying on Hawkins to pull a Rabbit out of the hat then we really are in the brown stuff.
  10. That would make an unbelievable gift for the youngsters! If I’d have managed to get a pair of Siggy’s leathers back in the day when he was my idol growing up, that would have been something I’d have treasured.
  11. They wouldn’t be relying on the crowd to pay for him they’d be relying on Guy Nicholls.
  12. Worrall is in the “does a job” category along with his brother and Erik Riss. Steady Eddie’s who will finish the season on a very similar average to what they started. Every team has and needs them, problem is we look to have too many and another is not what we need. Having King as second heat leader and the main support to Doyle isn’t strong enough and won’t be good enough, simple as that really.
  13. It’s more than likely, but Louis changes his mind more often than he changes his pants so let’s wait and see.
  14. Don’t get the fascination with Ellis either tbh. Decent rider yes, but inconsistent and frustrating and no better than King who many sighed over when announced.
  15. Funnily enough we had a deal done for him last winter before Louis changed his mind and went with Batchelor instead. Neither.
  16. Who’s available up to 6.12 by the way? None that I can see. Andersen and Cook are there, but both sub 5..
  17. It certainly is, the same Ipswich that Hawkins apparently wasn’t/isn’t convinced by..
  18. But he lacks support. It’s strange because Hawkins was saying a few weeks back after the season ended that although we did well in the table, he wasn’t entirely convinced particularly at home because we were scraping home with a number of last heat deciders. And yet we now seem to be building in exactly the same way! We have to wait for the final two signings of course because things may have changed there, but it’s currently looking much like the same. Won’t win many aggregate bonus points and certainly doesn’t look capable of winning a title over two legs if the team is completed as expected. Every rider signed so far looks to have an average that looks just about right. Riss and Worrall are 6 pointers, King’s average looks just about right now as well, as does Ritchie Worrall. Where are the big improvers coming from? At Lynn you have two in Jakobsen and Pickering who immediately look capable of adding a point minimum, we don’t have any so far.
  19. Rew is the key as he’s an unknown over here. All rests on whether he sinks or swims for me. If he struggles then you could well be right. Let’s see who the last rider(s) is first though.
  20. Doyle 10.32 King 6.41 Riss 6.00 R Worrall (not yet confirmed) 6.15 ? Rew 4.00 Thomas RS Leaves 6.12 for the final rider. Puts to bed the Emil and Holder guff too.
  21. Can’t make my mind up about this team tbh. At first glance it looks very very ordinary, but then they undoubtedly have two of the biggest improvers average wise in Pickering and Particularly Jakobsen. Reserves can win meetings as we’ve seen so many times before and they’ll always have a good un. Wouldn’t be surprised if this team struggles, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it does well. In other words, I’m sitting on the fence!
  22. Just looked at other clubs prices and Wolves have by far the best value. £265 for a ticket book of 15 meetings, making each meeting £17.67p a meeting. It does say though it covers all League and Cup meetings, no mention of any individuals or fillers. So if they don’t make the play offs and get knocked out of the cup at the first hurdle, that’s only 13 meetings so what happens to the remaining two tickets?
