  1. If it is then it better bloody well be Emil with him I tells ya!
  2. Emil is still on an 8.00 from his last stint at Coventry, so we’ll surely know if he can be fitted in when we announce the next signing. More signings announced this week apparently which makes me think we’ve gone down the two 6 pointer route. Emil would surely have taken more time to ratify.. If we announce either Riss or Worrall next then it probably knocks this rumour on the head. Riss and Emil leaves 4.27, Worrall and Emil 4.12.
  3. Zagar’s away average was poor. Not for me.
  4. If that does end up being the team then a lot will depend on Rew. If he struggles then so will we. Batch/Riss/Worrall/King are all solid middle order riders, but none of them are a second heat leader at 5.
  5. It is indeed just over half a point under. Take out Batch and that leaves 6.12. Brother Steve hasn’t been announced yet at Wolves, but after British reduction he’s 6.13 so doesn’t fit. Other than Batch on 5 and a half, there’s nobody else out there to fit that 6.12 unless you go for an Andersen or Cook and be even further under..
  6. By the process of elimination Ritchie Worrall has to be a strong candidate. He’s not at Lynn by all accounts, Leicester/Wolves can’t fit him in, Sheffield can but Ellis has to be nailed on for their last spot, and he’s very unlikely to be at Belle Vue who are releasing their team this week. I can’t see him not having a Premiership ride so it’s either us or Peterborough.
  7. I’d rather gamble on Cook than Andersen for the same average.
  8. Doyle 10.32 King 6.41 Riss 6.00 Rew 4.00 Riss isn’t anywhere yet so you’d have to think he’s back with us, and they surely wouldn’t chuck Rew straight in the main body that would be unfair on the lad, so that leaves 12.27 for two members of the 1-5, including a back up heatleader. Tall order..
  9. We tried for one of the Pawlicki’s last year but apparently the cost involved was way above what we could pay so we went with Barker instead. Unless Guy Nicholls is digging deep that would surely be the same issue? Doyle surely uses most of the budget. Not sure where we go from here to be honest, let’s hope Louis has a plan!
  10. They also have the protection of a club asset if that rider is in the list. For example, Ipswich have the option of using Drew Kemp if they so wish regardless of any “draft”.
  11. Just over by 0.16 with the British reductions. Would be shocked if they’re not at Belle Vue and Sheffield anyway.
  12. Not sure on his average, but Doyle, King, Riss, Rew, Craig Cook leaves 7.35 for a back up heatleader. Holder would have fit but looks like Peterborough have him, only other I can see is Kildermand on 7.10. Is he fit again?
  13. Not necessarily. Craig Cook on 4.92 is making more and more sense to me. A risk sure because of his reliability with his health issues but on that figure that risk is minimal. Cook at 2 with Doyle will still enable us to sign another heatleader on an average of just over 7 if Riss is also returning. Other than Cook, I don’t see another 5 pointer worth signing unless it’s a newcomer from abroad.
  14. 6.41 is certainly a better figure than the 7.76 he started with 12 months ago. Sensible to bring him back on that figure.
  15. Probably be one of the returnees. I’ll go for Riss.
  16. You have two of the biggest improvers there though. Jakobsen and Pickering are on false averages. Pickering was averaging nearly 8 at one point.
