  1. I’d rather gamble on Cook than Andersen for the same average.
  2. Doyle 10.32 King 6.41 Riss 6.00 Rew 4.00 Riss isn’t anywhere yet so you’d have to think he’s back with us, and they surely wouldn’t chuck Rew straight in the main body that would be unfair on the lad, so that leaves 12.27 for two members of the 1-5, including a back up heatleader. Tall order..
  3. We tried for one of the Pawlicki’s last year but apparently the cost involved was way above what we could pay so we went with Barker instead. Unless Guy Nicholls is digging deep that would surely be the same issue? Doyle surely uses most of the budget. Not sure where we go from here to be honest, let’s hope Louis has a plan!
  4. They also have the protection of a club asset if that rider is in the list. For example, Ipswich have the option of using Drew Kemp if they so wish regardless of any “draft”.
  5. Just over by 0.16 with the British reductions. Would be shocked if they’re not at Belle Vue and Sheffield anyway.
  6. Not sure on his average, but Doyle, King, Riss, Rew, Craig Cook leaves 7.35 for a back up heatleader. Holder would have fit but looks like Peterborough have him, only other I can see is Kildermand on 7.10. Is he fit again?
  7. Not necessarily. Craig Cook on 4.92 is making more and more sense to me. A risk sure because of his reliability with his health issues but on that figure that risk is minimal. Cook at 2 with Doyle will still enable us to sign another heatleader on an average of just over 7 if Riss is also returning. Other than Cook, I don’t see another 5 pointer worth signing unless it’s a newcomer from abroad.
  8. 6.41 is certainly a better figure than the 7.76 he started with 12 months ago. Sensible to bring him back on that figure.
  9. Probably be one of the returnees. I’ll go for Riss.
  10. You have two of the biggest improvers there though. Jakobsen and Pickering are on false averages. Pickering was averaging nearly 8 at one point.
  11. His home average is pretty poor. Maybe the Poole track doesn’t suit him?
  12. Why? There’s a rather unsavoury witch hunt going on over in the championship threads over young Drew which is a bit out of order. Absolutely fine not to rate a rider, I don’t rate Zach Cook for example, but some of the stuff being said about Kemp is rotten.
  13. Not convinced with that signing at all. The lad finished with a lower average than Kemp in the Championship. After the reserves being their achilles heel this year I thought they’d have built with a strong reserve at 6 this time but obviously not.
  14. Was going to say exactly that. Using the time it takes as a reason not to get an e ticket is a dreadful excuse.
  15. I’d actually take a punt on Allen on a 4.00 and chuck him in at 2 ONLY if we then went and signed a top heat leader to support Doyle. We’re gonna need a low averaged rider or even two in the main 1-5 if we’re to add strength up top so why not Allen.
  16. Rew just seems to have enough on his plate with plenty going on and flying in and out of the country. Not quite sure if adding Championship fixtures on top appeals all that much. Could well be wrong but we’ll see.
  17. Didn’t Rew have a bad injury though that would almost certainly have slowed down his development? How long was he out for? I genuinely have no idea.
  18. Couldn’t agree more I noticed that too. Always had plenty of time after meetings with the kids taking photos and signing autographs and came across as very kind.
