  1. The meeting won’t affect the average now. I’m guessing Tungate has now buggered off back to Poland and seeing as there’s little riding on the meeting, Ipswich have requested and been granted permission to reinstate Riss.
  2. Don’t think they have the old traditional AGM’s anymore do they? Just a group zoom call on no particular set dates. Pretty sure that was the case last year anyway.
  3. Spot on Baldy. A straight swap Tungate for Riss couldn’t happen, so a double change had to be made to re-declare the full 1-7 under the points limit. The fact a replacement for Barker had to be made as well because of his unavailability is irrelevant. Besides, Riss has been fit and been riding for Redcar again for a while now. If he was simply an injury replacement wouldn’t he have to have come back in to the side as soon as declared fit? We’ve basically just made another change out of the “window”.
  4. Amazes me people think riders don’t give a sh!t in a final and purposely let their team down.
  5. Boll0cks. If effort isn’t there you can say someone let the team down, that wasn’t the case. Just didn’t happen for him.
  6. Nobody did. But we have to stop judging every meeting on those at the NSS. It’s the best track in the country, just have to accept that.
  7. You need to stop with this ridiculous witch hunt, he’s let nobody down ffs. He’s tried his boll0cks off it just hasn’t worked out for him.
  8. Congratulations to Belle Vue. Just look at those jubilant scenes from both fans AND riders. And to think some on here like Mike thinks it worthless and doesn’t mean anything to win!!
  9. Exactly right. Clearly folk want a Sheffield comeback, but the ref got it right there
  10. Amazing what a fresh start and change of scenery can do. Kerr looking rejuvenated
  11. Not if you’ve paid for a season ticket. You’d be pretty pi$$ed off if you’d paid for the meeting and it didn’t take place.
  12. Agree, but the lesser of the two evils really. Just couldn’t have those last meetings affecting the averages for obvious reasons.
  13. Can’t argue with that. Could have been a complete farce otherwise, so at least it’ll remove any suspicions and those that attend can expect honest competitive meetings.
  14. I like Riss by the way, he’d be in my team for next year. At the time we lost both Riss and Barker in the summer we’d just gone 5 points clear at the top after walloping Sheffield unless my memory has failed me. The team had a lovely balance to it and we didn’t look the same outfit after the changes.
  15. Not so much now as it’s one meaningless fixture left, but it also give the club that made the change an unfair advantage as it gives them an either/or and more flexibility. If the replacement (in this case Tungate) is flying you keep him in, if he stinks the gaff out you revert to plan B and swap back.

  17. If that’s the case and Tungate was just an injury replacement for Riss, should Riss have come straight back in when he returned to racing which was a little while ago now? And I thought it wasn’t a single injury replacement change, but a full 1-7 re-declare involving a two rider change? Oh I dunno I’ve long given up even trying to understand these damn rules.
  18. I know it matters little now in the great scheme of things, but is that even in the rules?
