  1. Not if you’ve paid for a season ticket. You’d be pretty pi$$ed off if you’d paid for the meeting and it didn’t take place.
  2. Agree, but the lesser of the two evils really. Just couldn’t have those last meetings affecting the averages for obvious reasons.
  3. Can’t argue with that. Could have been a complete farce otherwise, so at least it’ll remove any suspicions and those that attend can expect honest competitive meetings.
  4. I like Riss by the way, he’d be in my team for next year. At the time we lost both Riss and Barker in the summer we’d just gone 5 points clear at the top after walloping Sheffield unless my memory has failed me. The team had a lovely balance to it and we didn’t look the same outfit after the changes.
  5. Not so much now as it’s one meaningless fixture left, but it also give the club that made the change an unfair advantage as it gives them an either/or and more flexibility. If the replacement (in this case Tungate) is flying you keep him in, if he stinks the gaff out you revert to plan B and swap back.

  7. If that’s the case and Tungate was just an injury replacement for Riss, should Riss have come straight back in when he returned to racing which was a little while ago now? And I thought it wasn’t a single injury replacement change, but a full 1-7 re-declare involving a two rider change? Oh I dunno I’ve long given up even trying to understand these damn rules.
  8. I know it matters little now in the great scheme of things, but is that even in the rules?
  9. I’d take Cook on an average under 5. No brainer. (Sorry Taps)
  10. Again, absolutely nothing alike. Yes, was still a big surprise that Louis brought Tungate back in, but Nicholls back to Ipswich is currently not just unlikely, but impossible.
  11. Christ I used to think old Aljack (the Ipswich fans on here will remember him) was bad but this fella takes the cake. Deary me!
  12. It is and it will be an issue as it’ll almost certainly leave you exposed in other areas. There’s a solid argument that you’re better off going with a modest number 1 and packing in potent reserves. Peterborough last year were proof of that. Reserves win you meetings and they always had a potent one no matter who it was. I’d still have him back though!
  13. Again, not talking about the GP’s or the Polish league. Let’s see if we get the chance to compare them here next season, I won’t hold my breath.
  14. Over a full season I’d bet my last Rolo Doyle would have the higher average. No doubt in my mind whatsoever. Exactly.
  15. Would be shocked to say the least if Barker ends up in any team. We’ll see.
  16. Good. Needs one of Glasgow or Oxford to join them for an 8-8 split in the two leagues. Increased points limit in the top tier, more riders apparently available, creating a bigger divide between the two leagues with doubling up slowly being phased out over the coming years. It’s a plan of sorts at least.
  17. Not for me. Just shows though how tricky it’ll be getting a decent looking line up with Doyle in the side. Gonna need to pull a few rabbits out of the hat that’s for sure.
  18. You don’t know him very well. We’ve heard plenty over the years “off the record” believe me. There are two ways you can interpret the rule as it’s written, it’s certainly not clear either way. You immediately interpreted them as rules were broken, no ifs buts or maybes, they’d been broken. Chris Louis is adamant that wasn’t the case. The problem is, we all know that over the years rules definitely HAVE been bent/broken at times by certain clubs so that nowadays, when there’s a grey area crop up like this one people like yourself automatically think on the negative side and claim a guilty verdict. It’s where we are unfortunately.
  19. Agree they really should have switched after last Thursdays result. I’d have been looking forward to Wolves Sheffield tonight.
  20. If it was the same person contradicting themselves with those views you’d have a point. As it isn’t, and with pretty much all of your posts, you’re talking absolute b0llocks. Thought better of some of those liking that guff as well.
