Changing A Team For The Play Offs
longlivefrankie replied to Mark's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm afraid for me (if It had any) team speedway in the uk lost all credibility and the sport in general seems a sideshow event now. I think you should have to name a set amount of riders at the start of the season and can only use them, say 8 or 10 if you want to be generous I'm almost of a mind that perhaps the team season could be a KO event just held in August perhaps first round 2 groups of 4 then the playoffs -

IMO they do need to understand that shouting Ohhhhhh every time sometimes even mildly exciting happens annoys at least half their audience. -
Why No Speedway Track...?
longlivefrankie replied to Chewbacca's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Ive often wondered that I guess it needs someone or a few people with enough passion to do it I'm sure a few second half meetings at Somerset or Swindon testing the water might be an idea I followed the wasps from 64-77 then 97 till they closed Only attended British GPs and a few other big meetings and one meeting at new belle vue since I would be tempted by a wasps outfit running somewhere Time has gone on now and as someone else posted speedway is losing any grip it had in the city -
Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
longlivefrankie replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think as some have stated u21 matches/series v Denmark , Poland , Sweden, Czech, Russia etc home & away would good idea Tour down under aus & nz Training camps perhaps, Perhaps a full time under 21 coach? Funding perhaps the promoter who funded Australia could start the ball rolling -
Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
longlivefrankie replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Can't believe that a british promoter funded the Aussie WTF? It always annoys me when British fans are waving Aussie , USA flags let alone a promoter sponsoring them Jason Doyle perhaps should choose his words a bit more wisely in future Well done GB and Poland were deserved winners -
Should Greg Hancock Ride For Usa?
longlivefrankie replied to John Leslie's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Apparently Hancock has offered his support by Twitter , and people have a go at tai -
Calling the team Great Britain may be a pain to some people but I'm Welsh and if it was England well to say my interest would not be the same to say the least. I may be being pedantic but I sure some Scots etc feel the same. Awaits flak.
