  1. Someone posted at weekend that there is a free weeks trial for Eurosport player, which there is, but then someone else said this would be limited and may not include the part that will be showing the live speedway, can anyone confirm this either way?
  2. Well I thought I'd go in softly and see what happens. Do they actually reply to peoples messages as a rule, or is it just lip service? I'm a big fan of Email the CEO via this wonderful site https://www.ceoemail.com/index.php have used it numerous times when not getting anywhere using the recognised avenues, British Gas, BT, One Stop Insurance to name but 3, it has worked every time, not necessarily with them replying but them handing it to someone who will ensure I get a call. The previous CEO of British Gas actually replied directly within an hour to advise he was just boarding a flight but would ensure I received a call within 2 hours, which I did, so it does work. Here's the details that are provided for Eurosport's top cheese if anyone fancies filling his inbox, https://ceoemail.com/s.php?id=ceo-290346&c=Eurosport Television-CEO they have always been up to date with my previous attempts, so no reason to suspect that this one isn't.
  3. I've messaged them on the link you provided Tim, not really au fait with Facebook but this is what I sent; "Please consider showing the SEC Speedway meeting on your normal channels this Wednesday evening, there is British representation and many of us would appreciate being able to watch it, thank you"
  4. No of course not but at the time I posted they were in the process of supposedly sorting the track, seen it done plenty of times in Sweden and matches have gone ahead, they are better equipped to do it than any other country.
  5. They've had rain apparently, not sure what your complaint is. At least they have the equipment available to put it right.
  6. Worst camera work ever in that heat, absolute gash
  7. Already wishing the guide was right, love speedway but this track, bobbins.
  8. Same here regarding my youth, I was my dad's ticket out of the house, my mum used to say "you can go but you can take 'trouble' with you so I can get some peace", so we were at the zoo every Saturday night, many Thursdays it would be a dash over Woodhead, our holidays were extended or curtailed to fit in a trip to a track on the way home. Yet I can hardly recall any specific meetings, the most vivid still being the run off between PC & Michanek, which isn't a bad one to remember I suppose. Anyway, back on topic, as discussed above, for me Joe Owen would have to be the best from my era, constantly topped the averages in the Star every week.
  9. Of course Sid, your memory bank is far better than mine, the way you recall meetings and individual performances never ceases to amaze me, I'm envious. Arthur Price was indeed a top 2nd division star, chuck in Michael Lee along with Carl Glover and what an era the 70's was for Boston.
  10. Carl Glover is one that springs to mind, had a very dominant period as Boston Barracuda's top man.
  11. Only a fag paper in it, great meeting for Dan, decent meeting all round, enjoyed it. Note to self, Don't predict easy heat wins again, ever.
  12. Agreed, although it would do wonders for Dan's confidence if he can beat Dudek again, got the gate advantage but Dudek has found speed compared to that early heat.
  13. He certainly seems to be back on track after such a bad injury, here's hoping GB can reap the benefits and leave the tag of also rans behind, it's about time.
  14. Dan in with a good shout, ht11 looks an easy one, then again, it's speedway. Lacking speed for some reason.
  15. The sooner he is packed off back down under for good the better if this is what he's doing, no consideration for the paying public regardless of whether or not the club are content for him to do it. I've never liked his attitude to speedway anyway, too many times he's moaned about track conditions when others have just gone out and raced, good riddance to him when he's gone. I'd much rather watch the likes of Tom Brennan giving it their all than some lazy Aussie who doesn't give a toss.
  16. Don't be mean, Rob surely knew he was on dodgy ground when he googled broadslide and all it came up with was the option to automatically change it to broadside, or that magazine link. It was broadside when I was a kid and it's never changed.
