You really are a divvy

I actually like Richard but people like you claiming he would've made the difference on Saturday are way wide of the mark and don't do him any favours.. He rode well in that heat though, fair play. I doubt there's any effort to reduce his average, you think his manager would put up with that when they are losing at home?
-
Meaning what exactly? This is his home track, surely he should do better
-
Yeah but we would've won the world Team Cup if he'd been in the team, apparently.....

World Cup - Wroclaw July 2023

I doubt it would have made much difference, they were both always going to be vulnerable, maybe next year one or the other will have made enough progress to challenge. No doubting Ellis had the speed in the race he scored 2, likewise Brennan the other night when he came in cold, they just need more experience in the best league. Riding in Poland has done wonders for Robert Lambert, Bewley seemed to settle in there quickly. I honestly didn't think we'd take it to the wire tonight, really impressed with how we did, no complaints. -

With who? Bewley was limited to 6 rides as reserve. Maybe I'm wrong but surely they couldn't just take Tom out and put Adam in, unless 6points down. -

How could we have had Ellis in more than Tom? We were never 6points behind, both were in the main body of the team. -

Well I would never have expected Magic to withstand the pressure and bring it home for them, well done fella. Cracking final, no bottlers, it's just speedway. -

I won't it's been a brilliant performance from the British lads, whatever happens here, thoroughly enjoyed it, speedway out of the top box office. -

Whatever happens from here on in it's been a fantastic final, obviously the fact that we have been in the mix has helped but the racing has been good. Come on Team GB, give it all you've got and bring it home. -

Been done to death, you'll have to read the thread. -
Surely you recall the Scenic Railway too, it went right past the 1st bend behind the terracing, then again I suppose if that's where you stood to watch the speedway you wouldn't have necessarily noticed it. We used to sit above the entrance to the 3rd bend, so I can remember seeing the people on the ride as the railcars went past. The Bobs were quite a scary ride back then. There were also the Suites, Windermere was one, can't remember the names of the others, the Aces end of season get-togethers were always at the Windermere Suite, seemed quite posh back then. The BLRC's were brilliant, coaches came from every club in the country, 25,000 sell-out every year, cracking atmosphere, great memories.

I'm with you, any speedway on tv is better than none, ok the 2 meetings weren't the best but they have to look after the track to ensure it's raceable by Saturday. Of course it would've been better with a bit more dirt on it but all things considered it was good to see riders giving their all for their countries. I enjoyed the first race off because my country were in it, the second because there was essentially 2 duels going on, the France/Finland one had plenty of twists, the exclusion of Jensen meant we could've been treated to a grandstand finish. As for the commentary, Tatum goes from bad to worse, mixing up his metaphors, "Denmark are now in the box office" being a prime example. Great to hear from Darcy Ward and good to know that he's been included in everything by Mark Lemon, what a talent he was and to think he'd probably be hitting his peak around now if things had worked out different. I'm looking forward to both Friday & Saturday and can see no reason why we can't mix it with the Danes and the Aussies for the medals while the Poles disappear into the distance.
