  1. But it wasn't live, they did have time put a better programme than that together. You're right though, we are very lucky to get what we do from Eurosport and Sky.
  2. Not great but considering the rain they had it's not as bad a I expected, heat 17 was race of the night so far for me
  3. This is Eurosport as I remember it from watching years ago, loads of ad breaks and very little attention paid to continuity. It's still good to have so much speedway available from the armchair. Eurosport have been good so far, this is the first time they've reverted to type for a speedway meeting..
  4. Agreed Steve, he's given us all so many great memories, one of a few riders who could really get you on the edge of your seat when watching them race, brilliant rider, maybe he will bow out soon while he's still a fit man.
  5. Is there a difference I wonder. Ah well, we're lucky to have as much speedway as we do get these days, mustn't grumble. Edit, now Dave has burnt himself out in heat 9, Vaculik/Pavlic, it's all gone Pete Tong...
  6. Sort of wishing I'd watched the foreign stream now, was looking forward to it, full meeting with commentary in English and what do we get, first 4 heats missing and Sam doing commentary. Dave's ok though.,
  7. Thank you for that, as usual the thread was being derailed by the childish arguments between the usual suspects, pathetic. I agree that once he became aware of Iversen on his tail he dropped to the inside and lost momentum, Iversen has turned out to be a really good rider over the last couple of seasons. He has a really smooth riding style but is always prepared to get out by the fence and wind it on when required. That last bend pass was sublime, there was probably only one way to pass the Pole and he had it sussed when it mattered. Great final, better than we could have hoped for after the first 4 heats.....
  8. Despite the jokers, despite GB finishing where anyone with an ounce of foresight would have expected, despite the low crowd- that was a great meeting of speedway, fantastic finsih, well done Iversen, cometh the hour cometh the man, brilliant ride. Well done Team GB for qualifying in the first place..
  9. Give it a rest ffs, Team GB qualified on merit, nobody expected much from them and they have delivered exactly that, take a chill pill and enjoy the speedway..
  10. It's speedway ffs, try the library if it's quiet you're after.
  11. Looks like Roscoe's using the Golden tyre too..
  12. Wrong, nobody came down, it was just payback for the previous lap, that's speedway, it's not tiddlywinks, Krcmar had the choice to shut off as he was behind \nilsson, he decided to keep going and it cost him a place, tough. Anyway, as you say it's just your opinion and we're all entitled to that.
  13. ok, well maybe you should apply to be a terrible referee as well. Shocking decision.
  14. Behave yourself, that was proper racing, no quarter given or asked for. Nilsson gave Krcmar a taste of his own back, all's fair, until the ref ruined things, terrible decision. there, you got a bite, give yourself a pat on the back...
  15. You must be referring to Middlo, bit harsh on Neil, he's not the brightest button in the box but he can tie his own shoe laces.
  16. Hope he's ok, he took a blow from Pontus there, fingers crossed for Andre
  17. There were no Americans riding in the British Finals. I agree about Ward, he seemed to have got a grip of that petulant streak but it resurfaced last night, just because things weren't going his way, poor form.
  18. I see Scott has taken his pal shopping for shirts, nice threads on show from the 2 of them tonight. I suppose the fact that I noticed this sums up the poor quality of the racing tonight. Still, well done GB, best of luck next weekend.
  19. He's good but I can't see him pulling that off...... However, Nige & Kelv will probably have that one boxed off by 9pm
  20. Waddabout when he nearly came off the moderbike............
  21. That start line cone being left out was unforgivable. I've always rated Kings Lynn, track prep, presentation etc but that was one of the worst things I've seen, absolutely no excuse for that. Come on GB, hold your nerve lads..
