  1. And if Edinburgh hadn't needed a tactical in ht 12 he probably would have set one in ht 11
  2. Rob Godfrey when dropping Bates, apologies June I know Scunny is your team, said that Bates had to go because he hadn't brought Douglas half way round the world to drop him. Bates has got steadily better as has Douglas. I wonder if the season was 1 too short for him but he may have been at the same level as Douglas had they stuck with him and I think this is quite widespread. Sheffield have just signed a German and gave Koppe much more of a go than Knight I suppose they brought him over to and Glasgow have already said that they are committed to developing Australians hence Joey Ringwood who I thought was poor, at best, when I saw him. The British lads have to fire from the get go or they are out because it is easier to drop them sadly
  3. I think everything that needs to be said has been said now to do the talking on track
  4. Looks like being a good competitive match on a good evening weatherwise. Should be a big crowd with Dudley bringing a lot of spectators. The Storm team does not seem to comply with rule 18.2.3. Am I reading the rule book correctly since the rules seem to indicate 1 R/R, 1 Guest and 1 non NL 3 pointer? 18.2.3 In the National League: Absent #1: G (who must be in a NL Line-Up) or RR Absent Rider (2 – 5): RR Two Absent Riders (2 -5) 1 x RR and 1 x G (Team Manager discretion) All other Absences **: any Rider not in an NL Declaration with a NL 3.00 ** Replacement Riders will take the programmed place of the Missing Rider(s)
  5. No puzzle I do bang the Brit drum but.....I am also realistic about a team who needed every point due to Kake carrying an injury and Kev and Lasse's up and down performances the pressure was always going to be on the reserves therefore there was a need to have high scoring reserves. I think SN would have cut it eventually. The brits have a raw deal and need to be signed and stuck by. On the Stefan note.....He has ridden 2 seasons in the Danish league,3 seasons in the NL , 1 in the PL tells me that by now he should be staying on his bike my point being should we really be signing him as a replacement for anybody?.
  6. Most of the promoters are from the pre social media era and probably struggle to get to grips with how to manage it and, probably were able to keep stuff under their hats a bit more. That's probably why they hate it particularly the anonymity of it you can even have a made up account on facebook. I have to admit I wouldn't like to box shadows, a possibility that someone who I talk to and talks to me on my terraces then posts bile on here about my business. Promoters will never reply to anonymity and neither should they.
  7. I think for that you need to look at the size of their feet not the general corporal size :-)
  8. If you ask me, which you are probably not but heyho. Nielson ends up on his backside too many times which you don't want in a team event. It's not about personal glory it's about doing well for your team and if that means coming 2nd or 3rd points mean prizes, which is fine in the NL but not in PL it's not a learning league:-) I think we should have recalled SN for the time Edberg was out it would have provided consistency and Simon can ride our track which the other guests struggled with.
  9. There is a lot of talk and rumour at the moment of league structures, tv deals etc etc..... In my experience there is no smoke without fire because people hear things and are told things 'in confidence' and eventually you get the story and some. Is this not a bit unsettling?. How can supporters look forward to 2014 when they don't know what they are looking forward to?. Is this going to encourage more supporters to drift from the sport. Come on BSPA get it sorted and give some kind of info.
  10. I can't deny I was a little disappointed with the barrage of abuse toward the tweeters on the updates site. We can't all be know it all's. I think they have done a good job so far and just because they had an off night they get slated. Hope they learn that in speedway you can't take things personally.
  11. The play off's, this year, wont be the same without you Tony RIP
  12. But there is nothing on the official channels either which is poor to anyone's standards. I would go with no news being good news.
  13. On that basis Dudley would still have a problem because Perry is injured
  14. Thy like a balloon last I heard but he is consummate professional I'm sure he will be there tomorrow.
  15. Good to see Stoke win !!!!!! There had to be a turn in fortunes eventually.
  16. Yes Ben damaged his shoulder in an accident at the IOW and could be out for a few weeks.
  17. Not a fully fit Perry if you look at his scores before he got injured. What is stranger is Rose from another contendingg team trying to take points off the IOW and therefore possibly helping KL go through. As with the Boxall situation Kent aren't in the running.
  18. Well their season didn't seem to improve with his departure.......Our gain!!!!!!! As always on here you don't get a scientific sample of views.
  19. Buxton.....Sean Phillips guests for Tom Woolley who has picked up a shoulder injury during flat track competition.
  20. If it's anything like Leicester then it is subject to noise restriction as they have had to turn it down to.
  21. Press release on the BSPA website. Does Ben Reade have a TM managers license? But over the top?
  22. Wow Len Silver managed the Potters as Malcolm Vasey broke down en route and it has to be said he did a fair job.
