  1. Well it's the hope that kills you! BBC forecast on breakfast this morning showed the band of rain not quite reaching as far north as Ipswich. Close, but not hitting the town. Gonna be a wait and see day.
  2. The BBC forecast still has rain from 2 until midnight, with that rain heavy between 3 and 7.
  3. Looks a write off unfortunately. Still time I suppose for that big band of rain to disperse in to showers, but if the forecast in the morning is the same as right now, little to no chance.
  4. I wouldn't say dump the EL exactly, but seeing the same old clubs and tracks over and over again does get a bit tiresome. There are some terrific racing tracks in the PL that everyone is aware of, but there are plenty of others I'd like to see get a showing too. There should definitely be more variety on Sky and more PL alongside the EL would be most welcome.
  5. LOL you're right! It didn't when I sent the link I promise you, it had a completely dry day for Thursday. Obviously changed since then and just goes to show that it constantly changes hour by hour.
  6. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646057?day=3 I always find the BBC forecast to be the most accurate. Not a drop forecast on there.
  7. Disagree to be honest. I can immediately think of two where you could afford to have a couple of riders have an off day and still win comfortably at home..
  8. Manzares has a spin after the meeting at Mildenhall yesterday so fingers crossed he came through that ok.
  9. Heeps will definitely be missing as he's out for at least a month with a broken wrist.
  10. Not a bad weekend really. Given ourselves a great chance to progress in the Cup and earned a hard fought point at Newcastle after having a terrible start in the first couple of heats. Must admit when I read on Updates that the Ipswich riders were unhappy with track conditions (again), I thought it would be another meeting where Tungate wouldn't turn up but to be fair to him he chipped in with vital points.
  11. Good fight back in the closing heats to take a point! Plenty of spills by the sounds of things, was the track as tricky as it sounded?
  12. To be honest it's probably better to have broken the other wrist as daft as it sounds, than the troublesome left wrist he broke previously. Get well soon lad.
  13. It's Lanham for Gino, and the R/R is for Heeps. So that means everyone bar King can take a R/R ride. Tungate, Covatti, Lanham and especially Hawkins if last night is anything to go by, should in theory cover Heeps' rides well.
  14. We also thought we'd beat Sheffield last Monday and we got stuffed at home so nothing is certain with this Ipswich team.
  15. And from Manzarez' R/R rides and our Guest for an in form Covatti, we scored a combined two points! We were more than justified in our fears. We've now given ourselves a great chance to progress, and that is only because none of us were expecting Hawkins to suddenly spring to life and bang in 14 points!! He's been woeful and I can only assume he was riding an engine that he's been waiting for?
