Assume if stocks were on yesterday with rain about today guess it would have been difficult to rectify track, even though this evening seems pleasant. Having said that, if that was the case that would have been announced <shrugs shoulders>

Yep - meeting cancelled - no reason why given yet...

The vague news out of kings Lynn certainly suggests they are having to be careful with the version of the truth they want to put out. Lawyers involved now? I was going to watch on TV to save costs and time as I'm not close to kl, but changed plans to go once sky pulled out.

Kings Lynn Stars V Belle Vue Aces 31/3

My pet hate as it drags things out Unless there is track grading or a rider with 2 on the trot 2 mins should go on as soon as riders are back in the pits. Busters programme notes mentioned some presentation improvements - have I missed something? -

Huckenbeck was the one positive tonight. Build a team of racers to entertain, have a lovely fine couple of days and get a gaters paradise. Having said that stars were awful out of the traps and paid the price against a strong bv who clearly mean business this season and should give Poole a run for their money. -

Think it will be tight. Cookie went well in Ben fund and if zagar rides to form, throw in Scotty, plus Steve worral at reserve... 6 point win for stars at most. -

King's Lynn V Lakeside 24/03/16

That's a bit early for a press release, didn't expect that until Saturday (at the earliest) Can't really see anything other that a Stars win at the NA. Lakeside will keep them honest (at times), but should be points in the bag. Wouldn't like to call the away fixture, but we probably need to get something whilst NKI is still in the side -
Friday night was a case in point. Iffy weather so rush through to heat 10 so no refunds then string out the rest of the meeting when we were freezing our bits off. Thing is, speed of first 10 heats is how it should be all the time. Friday night was a case in point. Kings Lynn V Sparta Wroclaw 18.03.16

Cold night (again), but a good meeting with plenty of good racing, particularly Tai's pass of NKI.....there was no room! Shame there wasn't as many Polish supports as the previous pre-season meeting as they added quite a bit to the atmosphere. Meeting moved along at a good pace until heat 10, but disappointed things slowed down to more normal pace during the second 'half' as it killed the momentum somewhat. Chap on the mike was quite good (best since MB), but the parade was a shambles. Promising signs from all the Stars riders ahead of the league next week. Lewis Rose didn't score well, but was on the pace - he should find life a bit easier against some of the other EL reserves. Huckenback continues to impress. Engine room of Mads and Rory looking good. Niels impressive as ever, wasn't sure if he was slowing a bit as Drabik tried to come underneath him - could have been much worse, but he seems to have got away without too much damage. Lambert has carried on where he left off last season, if only he could get out of the gate more consistently life would be so much easier for him. Wilko is gonna be a strong senior reserve for us this season, an able replacement for the other half of Team Lewis. Be interesting to see how this team goes against EL opposition. Think'll they hold their own against most teams, but will be interesting the effect of NKI/Troy switch. Troy can be a great no.1 rider on his day but lacks consistency and domination of Niels. Time will tell.... -
i've got a dodgy back, wonder if she is free on Saturday at BenFund :-)

Going on the amount of info coming out of the Norfolk Arena you've probably already missed it
-
Agreed Swindon seem to have a made a big mess with this, taking the p*** out of theirs and Somerset fans....but Lynn shouldn't have been stupid enough to want to use Doyle in the first place either. P*** up and brewery springs to mind..
-
Sorry to lose Rambo, but understand the need for the change, and Wilko will do us good. Was impressed when he stepped in last season, should have scored more than he did, but overrode once in a good position. A good run in the team and that could be an astute switch.
-
Phil I presume...
-
What should have been issued WHEN Troy was injured was that he was believed to have broken his arm and that an update would be issued when the full extent of his injuries were known. Then we wouldn't all be trying to second guess what was occurring on the other side of the globe.... We could have even had an update that he was going into hospital on such and such a date. Doesn't take much to communicate... Rob's comment was clearly a poor attempt to cover up the Stars inability to communicate this over the last couple of weeks...
-
That would make a cracking team and we'd look forward to some excellent racing at the NA. Failing that, now we've plumped for a different race night, NKI changes his mind and signs on the dotted line. Or I win a million or two on the lottery and build a new stadium near Norwich... More likely to see a pig fly than any of these happen
-
Exactly, all this discussion on here trying to blame one party or the other is probably all a load of tosh. As far as we know from what has been said, all parties seem to have been aware of the situation and I suspect it's been an amicable move all round, albeit disappointing from a Star management and supporters point of view...even Lewis may be disappointed the way this has eventually panned out. What's happened, has happened...time for us all to move on. Roll on 7.45 tomorrow - assume that's a.m. not p.m. ? P.S. Just for clarity a.m. and p.m. are NOT riders initials :-)
-
and all this could be avoided if EL move to fixed race nights (Thurs/Fri?) and PL avoided those days. May a cause a bit of pain to start with, but long term would be for the benefit of the sport. But when did the 'promoters 'ever do anything for the long term future of our sport?
-
Lambert is a good start. I expect Schlein to follow, no doubt we'll end up with Porsing as well. As for the final two - who knows...but Mads would be a good call? Shame we missed out on Sam Masters and Jacob Thorsell - would have both been good additions
-
Like it - it's no worse than the stupid rules the BSPA come up with. Still open to abuse though - I bet Matt Ford would get all his intended riders to go on diet before signing...and what happens in 2017 when a riders weight goes up - presume he will have a rolling fat average to apply to team building
-
Yeah but with limited options, on a low average, and less heat leader quality riders around to beat him maybe he is worth a punt after all? Maybe I'm forgetting how poor he looked last season as it's now a distant memory as winter well and truly sets in. Having said that, hoping Buster has something better up his sleeve.
-
h Ryan fisher...good call....oh sorry, maybe not

Gutted to miss NKI next season. But if this team fits I'd be happy... Vaculik Schlein Lambert Mads Batchelor Pretty solid all round top 5
