Ipswich v King's Lynn 11 August
kelvinht replied to Roger Jacobs's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hoping I can be happy like I was leaving foxhole in League cup -
Heard rumours that Peterborough will ride their home matches at Kings Lynn til they get a new track....

Kings Lynn vs Ipswich August 4th
kelvinht replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With the way king was riding it was always going to be a tough run in. To be honest I expected a worse result in heat 15, but Klindt finally got his act together (according to his Twitter account he'd been having clutch issues). We never looked like winning to be honest as we just weren't winning races. We should have done better in heat 13 and Ippo reserves had been mostly ineffectual most of the match (although always in the mix), so to lose heat 14 5-1 was the final nail. Edwards rode well in his third ride, giving Doyle a good run for his money, would have been tempted to leave him in his last ride rather than give it to Anderson. A few reports keep banging on about a weakened Ipswich winning, but the stars were also weakened. Playoffs now a distant dream. We needed to win at wolves last week and any slim chance has now gone. I'll still head down to foxhole next week though so we can get some sort of revenge! -

Update say recurrence of old injury. Assume his wrists aren't fully healed -
Kerr at 6 on Thursday will make us weak if he already knows he is on the way out, not that he would score much anyway.... unless he feels he has a point to prove. Why does Jakobsen have to wait til next week?

I'm not seeing anything from Alex on twitter? I expect we won't hear until dust has settled on British Final. Get distinct impression British speedway don't like to have too much news in one go!
-
I'm just over an hour away from Kings Lynn (and Ippo when I venture south of the border), so aim to arrive at 7pm for 7.30pm start - gives a bit of time to get in and flexibility for 'minor' traffic probs. If I'm travelling further afield I'll allow at least an hour if not more spare time

The silence is deafening on our no.1 plans. Hope that doesn't mean we are going to limp along with R/R Makes one wonder if they really do have a plan b.....
-
Wouldn't too excited about tonights performance. It was a good win, but no top heat leaders against us so we will look good
-
That's how I read, NKI if his team aren't in playoffs, if they are they have a plan b which will be from another team not in playoffs. Means r/r or guests for a couple more away matches.....
-
In the 'good old days' if both teams were missing a number one or similar standard rider, both would use their number 8....
-
Yep, looks like r/r for Masters Easy home win now
-
It's only Wolves. They rarely do well at Lynn. Even with r/r should be enough in the tank...

Belle Vue v Kings Lynn Euroflop 11 July

Didn't really see the point of putting TJ in heat 14, Jason deserved his 4 ride based on 2 points in his previous ride and looking competitive. Match was Well truly lost by then. If you were going to bother with change I'd have stuck him in instead of Lewi. Decent racing as always at Belle Vue, shame about the sh*t result. Lynn boys seem to be overriding. You need to be smooth at BV and build your speed, not fighting the bike all the time -

probably the latter! He was saying on twitter or somewhere that he was hoping to kick start his international career in that international challenge -

Alex and Allit both stated in Thursdays program that they can't find any suitable replacement for Niels and hope to have him back in August as polish fixtures winding down. Possibly too late by then though -

Does Harris fit for r/r for Neils? Would liven the meeting up and give us a fighting chance? -
A47 can be a pain after 8pm. You land on road closures with no real prior warning if you aren't a regular user. Sounds like you found your way back to Swaffham like I did. G0d knows where I was! Suspect official diversion was nearly back to downham market then over to A11 - that's miles extra

But in the best interests of the sport, I'm sure we could shoehorn him in -
No idea, but that would be a good guess. Looking at wording, don't think it's about Boris. Maybe Alex wants more control at KL? If that was the case I wouldn't be against it.... Or I could be reading it completely wrong, so don't quote me !!
-
Hans might get more than you'd expect as there is a reasonable chance teams will stick in their RS against him
-
Don't know why all the negativity on this. Watched first round on BSN, went to Ippo for second round, and will be at Lynn tomorrow. It's a good concept, but as usual needs much better promotion to interest people outside the speedway circle. The only thing that needs a bit more thought is use of the reserves
