  1. I think Ipswich will be lucky to get a point, I hope I'm wrong and they get more but I can't see it happening. It's not been a very productive track for us in the past.
  2. I think you're right if you add another panel it would make track too narrow exiting the bend and would probably suck more riders in.
  3. I sit in the home straight stand right on the start line and Gino just missed beating Richie to the line. Ref got it right. Morris just got a perfect start in heat 14, surprised ref didn't call it back as they usually do even if riders don't move so again good decision. See the real Cookstar turned up tonight, shame he didn't bring his 600cc machine when he guested for us!! The Ipswich riders all go on about what good team spirit there is at the moment so what happened to that in heat 12 with no-one rushing out with a bike for Stefan when he had a minute remaining of the two minutes, pretty poor. As I've said before with our home form we won't make the play-offs, now only taken 11 out of a total of 24 points at home. We have only beaten Redcar, Plymouth and a weakened Rye House at home, not good enough!
  4. I think I would rather be in group B.
  5. I wouldn't bother coming then you might as well stay in and watch eastenders.
  6. C'mon Bruv, did the sun affect you last night , the race you were talking about was with Ashley Morris not Stefan , and agree he should've been given an extra ride in heat 14. Maassen doesn't seemed to have improved from a couple of years ago and would probably struggle in the national league.
  7. Heard last night it was Nike Lunna, but we'll have to wait for official confirmation.
  8. What is the point of Eurosport covering Swedish Elitserien this season. I think they have shown 1 match live and can't even show all 15 heats in an hour highlights program. Pathetic! Might as well put it back on Premier Sports.
  9. With Rye House's line-up like that we should hit 60+. Probably explains why we don't have any Swedes in our team as clashes with Swedish second division matches. I gather they are only allowed to use national league riders as guests and not up to the replaced riders average. Another rule to turn fans away as won't be much of a meeting against two mis-matched teams.
  10. With the team this season at home who knows what performance we are going to get. On past seasons we should win easily, but Somerset upset that theory last time out. I'll go for a ten point win, but at long as we get 3 points I don't care if it's a two point win.
  11. Well at least my crystal ball is working!
  12. Maybe it was Ritchie who done the website and he has locked everyone out. Back to the team, now that Cam is supposedly on the way back maybe it's the time to switch the riding order. Put Cam at 2, Gino at 3, Rohan at 4 and Nico at 5.
  13. And still nothing on the official club website welcoming our new rider or that Ritchie has left the club. Pretty poor
  14. And who was sponsoring the meeting, only his personal sponsor, surprise surprise!!! Should've given it to Richie Worrall, if only we had kept him as back up to Danny like a lot of us wanted. Well I think we can say goodbye to the play-off this season 4 points from 12 at home won't get us there, you need to win most at home and anything on the road is a bonus. All does not seem rosy in the Ipswich camp at the moment and we need rid of the bad apples. Be interesting to see what the crowd is like for the next home meeting, because if this carries on it will be only us diehard fools still suffering every week. The track was crap with no dirt on the outside for someone like Nico who busts his balls out wide and was going nowhere, something is wrong. Get well soon Bob!
  15. We had the same thing when we had Richard Lawson guesting and he only had one bike. It's just not very professional.
  16. After it took me 2 hours to do 30miles to get to Foxhall as the A12 was shut I wondered why I bothered after a performance like that. Only Nico came out with any credit. Someone told me that Cooky turned up with only one bike, if that is true it shows like his performance that he wasn't that bothered. Should've got Masters instead. Can't believe someone stated earlier in this thread that Cook and Lanham made us stronger, not a chance. Well done to Newcastle who were the better team on the night. Couldn't believe Phil put the tactical on Leigh Lanham in heat 8 like a lot of people around me. Lanham is having a good season but still is sh1te around Foxhall, only got guest booking as he is local and cheap IMO as his performance when Somerset visited was useless. Should have waited a race and put it on Nico who was on the only one showing some fight and with Tungate in the race a much better chance of getting a result than with Lanham and one of our reserves, but with only 4 heat winners at home you are never going to win. Changes need to be made before it is too late.
  17. Good to see Ritchie slow down before the line to let Gino win the race to help his average. If more Sheffield riders did this for Ty Proctor he would still be in the team and not back home in Aus. Just need Danny to do it or move Gino to 3 or 4. Thought tonight's meeting was good with plenty of passing even from 15m back!! Good confidence builder and lets hope they can keep this up.
  18. Just goes to prove when he was riding for us against poor Plymouth teams he could score lots of points there. Now he is up against decent riders from the opposition he's not doing very well at home. He'll be a good reserve for us next season.
  19. They had a team meeting in the dressing room after the match and that is what I was told was the reason for Rohan slowing in the last race. TBH it looked like he was struggling all night as he seemed to get slower in all of his races after a couple of laps.
  20. Apparently Rohan didn't have bike problems in the last race, he got arm pump. I think everything that could go wrong did and that just summed up the whole meeting. Berwick got the rub of the green and good luck to them. Can't believe Ritchie wasn't put in heat 14 after Stefan binned it big time in his previous race and Ritchie had a good ride in heat 12. Stefan falling whilst under no pressure at all probably cost us the match. I don't think everything is harmonious in the Witches camp and I can only see us exiting the league cup after tomorrows meeting as I can't see us beating Plymouth. Think some changes are required at the lower end of the team as we don't seem as potent at reserve anymore and we have a lot of catching up to do in the league seeing we are rock bottom of that at the moment.
  21. Yes this one does look better but we are riding in Ipswich, Suffolk not Ipswich, Australia!
  22. Surely Ipswich could have got Michael Palm Toft or Paul Starke to replace Nico. At least they are near his average. If we get close to Berwick with this line up it will be a miracle. Another option is Adam Roynon, I know he has just come back from injury but at least he is a racer.
  23. Congratulations to the Tigers who made the most of some dodgy refereeing decisions in the first few heats to get a lead and hold on to it. The Ipswich boys heads apart from Danny & Nico seem to go down. The Tigers then gave the Witches a lesson in gating. Don't know why the ref didn't stop the first two races after clashes into the first bend and jump starts and clashes in the second. You would think being an ex rider he would know better. Surprised he didn't go round on the victory parade lap with his son Josh. Surprised to be saying this but Nick Morris made Jason Garrity look super smooth and in control today. How he wasn't excluded when he locked up in front of Rohan and left he nowhere to go but into him. Surprised he only got hit once the way he was riding causing mayhem behind him as riders didn't know which way to go. Onto the Witches, Cam hasn't been the same since his crash at Peterborough. Ritchie just hasn't started at all since his crash. Was Stefan fully fit after his crash at Sheffield? as he looked awkward on the bike. Thought Rohan was unlucky today, only one of his two exclusions was his fault. Danny faultless after his bike problems in heat one. And what can you say about Nico, carrying on his good form from the confidence of good scores from reserve has given him. Hopefully Ritchie will get some confidence soon as we need the reserves to be scoring like at the start of the season as we have some catching up to do now. The only good thing about the result was we stopped the Tigers from taking all four points in the last race.
  24. At Ipswich on Thursday he was trying to leg trail on the tight bends and it just wasn't working and kept locking up or couldn't turn. He looked alright in his last ride until he was passed and went to the back and then struggled round the corners again.
  25. Rohan has definitely improved since he got his visa, maybe that was playing on his mind and affecting his performance. As well as Rohan, I think Cam holds the key as he seems to be struggling since the crash at Peterborough. The reserve race should be interesting with Josh Bates coming in for Paul Starke. Can't see us winning, but hopefully we can nick a point but it's a long shot on past performances.
